Invincible! The murder of a U.S. senator brings New York City Police Detective Max Horn up against a bizarre and deadly plot. To cinch an arms sale, a renegade scientist must demonstrate the lethal scope of his merchandise.
Target - The United Nations building and all its occupants. Maximum weapons capability - total kill.
While the unending quest for money and power continues in the city's tarnished towers, Horn throws himself into a cross-country pursuit. What he's got going for him are his supertuned E-mods - and a newly implanted target-acquisition module. But the madman has taken Horn's measure and knows the on thing needed to bring him crashing down: Betrayal!
Decent 1990's men's adventure novel. Cyborg cop, Horn, his partner, Winger, and a PI named Dartt are out to stop a mad scientist from equipping gangs with cyborg soldiers, impervious to small arms and grenades. Horn gets a new enhancement for his eye.
Not bad, but without any of the anger or patriotism of the earlier examples of Men's Adventure.
Man, I really enjoyed all four of the "Horn" series. Nothing but slam/bang action and police violence. It was basically the six million dollar man with a real bad attitude. Almost made you feel sorry for the bad guys..... almost.
