I’m talking about the kids that stand out for the wrong reasons. The girl with bright red hair, wild curls, braces and uncontrollable acne. The girl with the extra weight and slight lisp when she’s nervous.
The girl with the perfect uniform, the tie done the correct way, not the cool way. The girl with the knee length pleated skirt and flat unfashionable shoes. The girl that was laughed at, called names, pushed around and left to sit alone. The girl who was the school joke when it came to physical education.
Do you remember her?
The girl who stole my heart at the age of fourteen. The girl who took my virginity at fifteen and the woman who broke my heart at eighteen.
Do you remember her?
I do. I loved her.
Does she remember?
No. Because I was a tool. Hadley Rose stole my heart and she never gave it back.
Do you remember now?
Yes, I’m the idiot who let the girl get away. The guy who remains alone because the only girl I ever loved is in another man’s bed The guy who is heartbreakingly in love with his best friend.
Hi! What to say about myself...I love to read, and create stories for others to enjoy. I've always been told I have a vivid imagination, I just lacked the confidence to pursue putting it onto the written page. But finally I embarked on making a single dream come true. I love to read, and write. I only read romance, any genre really, but it has to have a beautiful romance. I also demand a HEA, even if it takes two or three books to get there. Reality is too broken and jaded without having to live through the trauma and angst in a book for it to end unhappily. I would love to connect with readers to hear their views on my work.
