So sad

This story is about a woman who had the perfect life, two kids, a loving husband and a happy future. So she thought, until her husband comes home one day and announces that he has fallen in love with another woman and is divorcing her.

Seriously, I was so mad. This woman gave him two children, cared for his home and loved him, what more could he ask for? How can a person do that to their kids, force them into a life of separation of their parents. It's awful that people are so selfish and way too common nowadays.

Very short and so are the two remaining books in the series, but priced like full length books.

Julia is a mother of two who fell in love with her high school sweetheart. They got together at 16 and were most likely to marry and live happily ever after. The children were adorable as I love reading about kids in my books. The daughter is celebrating her birthday with a princess party and she can't wait for her daddy to crown her. Then daddy doesn't show 15 minutes before the party, in fact, daddy hasn't been around much at all lately to tuck them or otherwise. I thought I could handle this train wreck of a marriage but the husband to me is so worthless I just cannot proceed. The author is very true and realistic to what occurs in such a tragedy but I just am not in a mood to continue after this read. She writes well and captures her scenes very well. There is also a new man who enters the picture in Julia's life on her trip in Europe named Sebastian. You'll notice I did not list her husbands name because he doesn't deserve to be mentioned by name. The moment I most hated him was when he told Julia that she had changed. She was all about getting into certain karate classes, her photography and preschools instead of her fun old self. Can you believe that? I mean as a mother myself it hit a chord because as a husband and wife you are partners and for him to think it was all about him. He should have been proud his wife played such an active role in the raising of their children. He should have been right with her in wanting the best for his kids. They idolized him as kids do their parents but as usual the dad was a little more special because they didn't see much of him. Words cannot tell you how it raised my blood so for health purposes and sense I can't physically choke the bastard I need something that inspires. There is hope in this but you need to take that journey through Julia's self discovery and the pain of what it has done to the kids. I in no way want to discourage anyone by implying the author cannot write it's the subject matter that has caused me to drop off after this one. Enjoy!

A little repetitive

A little repetitive. Story line is good and did hold my attention. Author shows promise and would read future publications.
