I am a retired teacher and principal, a fly fisher, paranormal investigator, history buff, and published author. My writing endeavor began as soon as I mastered holding a pencil, and before this, my mind created many different life roles for this girl called Sudi (by family), from Indian Princess Sacahonta to a famous mountain (red clay gully) climber. The places I have lived provide background for the books I create and include: Mississippi, Arkansas, Alaska, Montana, and New Zealand. In my retirement, I divide my time among Mississippi and Arkansas but find the most pleasure writing under the awe-inspiring Beartooth Mountains of my Montana home where the deer, antelope, elk, and my mind run free! My other pastime traveling includes my husband Woody, my seven grandchildren, and my 9000-member group Sisters on the Fly. Writer's block is something unknown to me! If I cannot think of something to write, I remain silent, free my mind, and let the WAY lead! Works every time! My 9th book WHITE FEATHERS FROM EMMETT was just released, one of four books with Double Dragon Publishing. In February, the last book in my five-book series with The Wild Rose Press was released, entitled WINGS ON MOUNTAIN BREEZES. Next up—a series of novels based on Montana Women Homesteaders of the early 20th century. I might even learn to cook on an old time wood stove!
