The ideal time to read this book is when you are in your teens. There is always this misconception that socialism and the ideas were born after Marx. The ideas have been in practice whenever there was any oppression and injustice. The illustrations and the information available would be very useful in understanding the concept of socialism, the various branch outs of socialism, the Marxian theory, the Lenin and Trotsky period etc. this is yet another book that reiterates the fact that socialism if not implemented democratically, will definitely lead to either capitalism or fascism, both are dangerous. P.S. I never knew that the nationalization concept followed by countries around the globe was pioneered by Stalin.

Would have loved for it to be more matter of fact and I would not necessarily consider this very "beginner friendly" as it omits information about what marx writes and what socialism is economically etc but overall a short enjoyable read.
