Not s bad story but I find these to always lack some kind of excitement in them and they just read a bit dry for my tastes. Recommended for my gramma though, as she adores romantic realistic stories.
This was a great story and I really did enjoy it, however for a book about stereotypes, I was surprised about how many the author had. Such as, everyone would know that R&B singers are black. When she painted the original picture of the male MC, she never once hinted that the color of his skin was dark - or even tan. Just that he had brown hair and eyes. It was over 3/4 of the way through the book that they mentioned that when he was little no one wanted a little black boy running around... well, I hadn't been picturing the character in that way and it totally through me off. I'm not racist or against dark skinned MC's, but I'd really like for the author to let us know those details so that we can adequately picture the characters in our minds - but like I said, I'm assuming that the author was using the stereotype that R&B singers are black - and I'm pretty sure not all of them are, but I don't follow that style of music so I guess I could be wrong...
