Darla has been interested in paranormal romance since she was a teenager in high school. It was then that she discovered she could fulfill her fantasies through her writing.

Observing people and human behavior in the area of romance has always been one of her favorite pastimes. Combining that with an overactive imagination is a sure fire way of coming up with interesting themes.

Darlene and Idris started this adventure in a whirlwind affair. After some major problems Idris has become Exsul (outcast) and blamed Darlene. Darlene has gotten a handle on her gift of interacting with spirits and is dating the new Alpha of the werewolf pack in town. The hybrid vampire/werewolf that Idris' old pack leader created is now running rampant in town and creating more hybrids. His goal is to destroy all werewolves and rule the world. This final installment is outstanding leading us through the final battle and the growth of Idris' character and Darlene's grasp on her place in this whole mess. I was not real happy when Idris and Darlene broke up, but all in all I loved the way it ended. Everyone getting exactly what they want.
