Will love triumph over a lightheaded man. Do they have their HE A?
Sarah heard her mother say she would never get married until her daughters were settled. She answers a mail order bride ad, she has a feeling that something isn't right, she asked her brother in law to meet them at the train. Her brother-in-law couldn't come so he sent his cousin Jake. Sarah has feelings for him but he has vowed to never get tired up with a woman. Sarah was right about something being wrong, the man was the enemy of her new family. He tries to force her to get married but Jake saves her from certain danger by marrying her.
Sarah never thinks things through, so she gets into alot of trouble that Jake and Mate the sheriff has to get her out of. He ignores her for weeks, was mean and honorary but will he change so they can have a HE A? I highly recommend this book and series.
Sarah's Happy Ever After dreams and her amazing ability to run headlong into life without thinking things through, causes tons of issues and concerns, but is her new marriage one of them? I loved this book and I hope you will too!
This book is what happens to foolish young teenagers who think they know what they are doing. Instead of doing the sensible thing and writing her sister if she knew the man she was corresponding with if he was a decent man. She shows up at the train station with the ticket Hank bought her, and because her sister couldn't show up they sent Jake. He's the one who broke her heart when she visited her sister last time. To get Sarah out of the situation, Jake has to marry Sarah and loses his stud stallion. Needless to say, this is not a way to start a marriage. These two are not emotionally stable and even if it is an HEA, these two won't make it past the dreaded year seven unless they both serious grow up.
Very good book. I really enjoyed reading it. It has a good storyline and interesting characters. Very good romance with bad guys thrown in to keep it interesting.
Sarah didn't have to find a man to fall in love with -- she already did in book 1. SO..I do recommend you read that short story first. Its a delightful read.
But the man she loves, Jake, is determined to never, ever, EVER marry. There are three people that make his blood boil. One is his almost wife who ditched him for the second person --Hank. A smooth talking' liar. And his almost wife's mother, who you will meet or already met in book 1. Oh, let's add Hank's father to the list. The son learned ever so much from his father on how to be a cad (I'm being nice here).
Sarah has no idea the man she has been corresponding with is not the nice, but lonely person whose wife had died, that he says he is. And that's as much as I will tell you.
Oh, and Everly (bk 1) has her baby in this one. Is it a boy or a girl? You'll have to read this novella to find out.
It was a clean read but I didn't enjoy it. Sarah met Jake when her sister came out to marry his cousin. But Jake doesn't seem to like her at all. Sarah agrees to become a mail order bride for someone else, not realizing how terrible the other man is or that he is Jake's nemesis. Hank is trying to force Sarah to marry him right there (she thought they were going to visit and see if they were suited first..) so Jake feels forced to marry her to save her. But he is furious at having to marry. Jake was a complete jerk and I didn't think he was a hero at all. I didn't like this story and can't recommend it.
A KPD. Search to Live Novel (WWB - 2)/A Mail Order Bride Accepts an Offer From Wyoming
KPD. has. penned a love story that stretches across the western frontier. A scheduled marriage ends in default and the groom disappears. The bride is beside herself and accepts an offer from a Rancher in Wyoming Territory. She is headed to the same area her ex Grimm went when he returned to the home ranch. The young man discovers that his future intended if coming West to marry his arch enemy. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Jake had had his heart broken before and vowed to never marry. Sarah had loved Jake when she met him before and left her broken hearted too. Since her sister is married and lives in High Ridge Sarah decided to become a mail order bride near her. She and Jake are thrown together again. Will they find their happily ever after or just more heartache and sorrow. This is a very good read. Lots of excitement, adventure , some humor too.
The sister of Everly Sarah arrives in town having arranged marriage with an unknown man so her mother will be free to marry. The man she really loves never want to marry. Upon arriving she finds the man she corresponded with was evil and she had been tricked. Jake (who she loved) married her to save her but let her know she had ruined his life. Will they come to their senses in time? Of course but enjoyed the story and will continue the series.

Another great book from Kay Dawson and the second in this series.Book was really good and I had a hard time putting it down Can’t wait to read the next book in the series Beth.
This is book 2 in a lovely series concerning sisters who go out to Wyoming in search of husbands. The relationship between Sarah and Jake is contentious and of course, it all works out in the end. The middle stuff is as delicious as eating a chocolate lava cake! I do love happy endings.
When Jake marries Sarah to save her from a cruel man, he behaves like an absolute nincompoop. She is hard pressed to hold on to her optimism. Sheriff Nate is a lovely addition to the series, I'm looking forward to reading his a Beth's story.
Disappointing read. I was looking forward to Sarah and James story from Everly’s book and it fell flat.
Disgusted with Sarah (she does the most unwise things) and disappointed with Jake (he can be a callous jerk). I don’t see how they can be suited for HEA.

I really liked this book also. Great storyline. Great characters. I look forward to reading Beth's story next. I do race this writer and especially this series.
I'm so enjoying this series and all the characters. I loved Sarah and Jake's story. He had vowed not to fall in love again but when he met Sarah he had an immediate connection. He tried to fight it for way to long. I can't wait to read the next book.
How likely is it that Jake misses the note from Sarah before he sees the annulment papers?,NOT! But Dawson does it her way? Then she never has Sarah telling him she loves him when there are all kinds of openings or opportunities. No where does she say those words to him?…?.?
I enjoyed this story of adventure and romance. The author has done a great job with the characters of this story of a Mail order bride and the trouble she faces.
It’s such a good, emotional roller coaster and not on/off again but simply as you follow along the emotions, the feelings, the discoveries - and fall in love with the MCs.
I liked the suspense and sweetness of this series. As in the first book they are fighting prejudice in a day women had few choices. I would recommend this book to anyone liking sweet romance. A nice easy read. Now on to the third book!
Kay Dawson – Wilder West Bk 2 – Sarah – Reviewed 11/18/21 – Read 11/12/21
Everly was lucky with a mail-order husband, now Sarah feels the need to free her mother to marry.
By chance Sarah overheard her mother receive an offer for marriage, but she refused because she felt that her daughters needed to be settled before she would be free to marry. Sarah decided that she needed to find a husband and take her younger sister with her, then their mother would be free to finally be happy.
Even though she was sure that she loved her brother-in-law’s cousin, Jake, he had made it clear that he was not ever going to get married, so this was her only option. She picked up the paper that ran the ads for mail orders and chose one that sounded interesting. She immediately wrote and then received an answer, after several more letters she decided that it was time to travel and check out if this would be her future. Arrangements were made and the two sisters headed west, little did they know the surprise that was waiting for them.
Join Everly as she is met by the one man that she never expected to meet her, and the surprise that was in store for her…
What did I like? Having read the previous book, Everly, I was excited about the story of one of the other sisters. This sister sure knew how to make trouble for herself but then she was known for not thinking things all the way through, almost always did it bring difficulties right to her!
What will you like? Now talk about exciting!!! This book starts with a bang, and it bangs all the way through. Jake and Sarah work at keeping everything off balance and the storyline jumping. You will find it interesting and exhilarating from the first page right through to the last with a very agreeable ending. Kay P Dawson’s next book in the Wilder West series, “Sarah” is available NOW!!!

Mail order bride historical western. Second in series. The first one I really liked. Again here I liked the writing style, and most of the characters, but Sarah was one of those heroines who might be described as "too stupid to live". Her screwups were the kind where I wanted to yell at her. Jake is hot as hell, however :)
While I enjoy a good Mail Order Bride book, I also prefer stories that develop the characters and give depth. This is a simple and easy story-line that can be read by anyone. It is quick read without harsh language and impure thoughts for the "sweet" audience.
I LOVE this series! It's a good, clean romance. No gratuitous sex scenes - and I think it's better for it. The story is able to unfold without all the naughty bits. I cried a bit during the first book, I cried a bit during this one! Off to the next one!
This was a cute little story. I enjoyed Sarah's feisty spirit throughout the story. It was a cute, clean love story. There were enough troubles to overcome that it kept the story interesting. Although it's easy to predict the ending of the story, you are glad that everything manages to work out.
Sometimes you really need happy ever after even if getting to it is a bit of a struggle. I also appreciate "clean" without uber religious. Strong characters and events are real enough. They do heal fast though...
I had to give this book four stars because it was sweet, but it really was a three and a half. I liked the characters of Jake and Sarah. I hope Hank gets what's coming to him in the next book.
