Dancing Days

Rate this book
They were the most beautiful red shoes Karen had ever seen. Such pretty, pretty shoes. Surely if she herself wore those shoes, everything in her life would change. They would no longer be poor. Her family would be saved. And she would be free to dance and dream the way she knew she had been meant to.

It would all be worth it once she owned the red shoes. Even if she had to steal them. Or worse.

A haunting fantasy story unlike any other, DANCING DAYS tells the story of Karen, a beautiful and fiercely determined young girl who is willing to endure anything to escape her brutal poverty. Karen's hunger leads her to an unexpected friendship, a darkened path through the woods, and to an unimaginable curse.

Yet, even as she reaches adulthood and the height of her beauty and success, Karen must keep her secrets, hiding the curse of the red shoes from the outside world. Until she falls in love.

An unexpectedly romantic tale of love and loss, gifts and ghosts, magic and repentance, DANCING DAYS will haunt you long after the story is done.

Two Twisted Turns

This was a great quick read that surprised me, with the first twist hooking me and the last twist leaving me sated. I can't wait for her next project!
