This is a new to me author and I was surprised how much I loved this story. This was pretty much insta-love, which I adore. It had an H that was so sweet at times but also alpha and possessive. There wasn't any HUGE drama and it wasn't angst ridden. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for a story about two people falling in love that don't fight it every step of the way and I got that here.

Jase had a rough childhood from the time that his mother died when he was about 11 years old. His dad was no longer really there for him. Jase built walls up around his heart and didn't really let anyone in. He works on the oil rigs in Texas and is only home about half the month. His last girlfriend couldn't handle that and cheated on him while he was gone. He was not devastated by this but it did make him realize that a relationship with him would be hard. But the second that he saw Lainey, he had a feeling she would be special to him. I loved that he went for it full force, never second guessing himself.

Lainey just got out of a relationship where she was cheated on as well. She moved back to her hometown to be close to her best friend. She lost her parents right after high school and has been alone ever since. When she sees Jase she can't take her eyes off him.

This is their love story. One of the things I loved the most about this was that they had REAL life problems. When they did fight, it was solved fairly quickly and they handled it like adults (well, most of the time lol). I will leave you with a couple of quotes from Jase to Lainey *swoon*

"I wanted to kiss you before you even said a word to me. And once I got a taste, I was hooked. I don't want to mess this up, Lainey. I want this. I need this."

"Baby, you're it for me. You have been since day one. And the word girlfriend doesn't do you justice Lainey. You fucking own me," he said, as he kissed me again."

Overall I liked Loved on a Dirt Road. It was a sweet, low angst new adult read. The only thing that bothered me was I really didn't feel the connection between the characters and think it would of been much stronger if we had the hero's POV and a little bit more of a build up before they got together.

Can I just start by saying ......Damn why did it take me so long to read this series, now I've started I just don't want to stop.

Nicole Hart is one talented writer, she had me hooked from the first page.

I didn't know whether I'd love a Roughneck guy but wow what a change from those typical billionaire type hotties, it made a refreshing change, and I can safely say I love me some #Roughneck .

Lainey left her hometown to start a fresh after a tragedy hit her life hard but after all these years shes right back in the place that used to be home after her cheating scumbag boyfriend who she gave the past few years of her life cheats on her.

I did think was going to be one of those cheesy books with a meet your prince charming kinda bull, but was I mistaken. I mean obviously theres instant chemistry between the two, and definitely alot of sexual chemistry but theres heaps more laying beneath this story.

A story of Loss, Betrayal, redemption, Love, Loyalty and Trust.

Antonia is not only dealing with her issues, she wants to help Jase battle his demons too.

I laughed and cried throughout the pages, and I was gutted when I reached the last page but thankful I dont have to wait for a release, as I was late to the party they're already available. ;)

Nicole is definitely a go to author for me now, great job chick xoxo

I loved Jase. Aside from his tattoos and the swearing, he's got a lot of qualities that remind me of my hubby. Lainey . . . we'll, she did have her 'bat shit crazy moments', but I enjoyed her more than some other leading females I've read. I was really happy to not see any major drama between the two main characters - the kind where they don't talk and all the drama is due to lack of communication. Thanks for that, Nicole.

This was a quick and easy read. Nice for when you need something to take your mind off of things. :)

Wonderful book from an amazing lady.

Nicole you told me you were writing a book all those years ago waiting to meet Jamie McGuire. I am so happy that day has come. I loved the story of Jace and Lainey. It was a mix of sweet with a bit of naughty, just how I like my stories. I can't wait for your next book. Congratulations

This book was exactly what I needed! I've read some pretty heavy books lately which I've learned quickly are not my first love. This kind of book is. It was a great love story that had me smiling wide and tearing up. So if you're in the mood for a fun, heart warming read I definitely recommend this book!

This is a light easy romance. Sometimes I need a break from all the drama, although they're my favorite but sometimes I need easy and this fit the bill perfectly. Very enjoyable!

OMG I did not expect this book to be this good. It was so sweet and felt so real. It didn't linger and drag on with emotional drama. Nicole Hart beautifully showed Lainey and Jase's relationship progress over a short amount of time. And oh my gosh I loved it so much.

After reading this book I can say that I loved each and every character in this book. Lainey, whom the story is told from her POV is a sweet girl who moves back home after her jackass boyfriend is caught cheating on her. Then, she meets Jace and her world is completely changed. Her and Jase's relationship is so damn cute, I love getting nothing but scenes of just them two together. She also has a best friend, Sam who is a riot who one kick-ass best friend with one dirt mouth. But that's what you love about her. Then there's Moon who is a friend of all of the characters.

This book was sweet and perfect. It is a fast paced romantic read. At sometimes it moved a little too fast for me, but I also realized that it fit for the story. This is one of the most realistic stories I've read in a long time and I could almost picture Lainey and Jase being real people. I loved their ending, their was enough drama for the characters to work out their issues, but it didn't go over-the-top. Lainey may have turned into crazy lover, but her actions are expected of her knowing each of their personal stories.

Love on a Dirt Road was a great and fast read. I liked it a lot and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.

*The author was generous enough to send me a file of this book for my honest review*
This book had lots of potential. It was an easy read but a little too cheesy for me. The relationship between the main characters would have been more believable had they gotten to know each other A LOT more before throwing the "L" word around and if they were in high school. Sadly, they were too dependent on each other. At one point the heroine actually mentioned she could not live without him. I just... I don't like those types of relationships. They are unhealthy. Anyway, there was too much, too fast for it being such a short read. There were many misspelling errors but that's just me being a grammar nazi. Also, the best friend had a little too dirty of a mouth. I couldn't get attached to her because every other word out of her mouth was profanity. I'm glad I gave this a try though! Thank you so much for the copy, Nicole!

Finally an AMAZING series without a millionaire (ugh) but sexy country boys. this is more like real life and since the author does live the Life of these characters she knows a thing or two about the emotions they are actually feeling. Its not just words she puts to paper but feelings she puts down on paper. Reminds me of the very small town I grew up in population 82 minus the moonshine. So it is relatable:) it's romance , new beginnings, suspense laughter, tears, angst and can't forget the smut all wrapped into to one series. One series I will have to eventually purchase in paperback also, cause these baby's are going on my favorites bookshelf in my house for sure!i finished the entire series one book a day for the past 4 days I couldn't put them down!

This was a cute story of Jase and Lainey. Both had been cheated on and have mild trust issues. This is a simple romance story with lots of ya'lls, and a few gun moments. Jase just happens to work on an oil rig and Lainey works as a receptionist. She has a tough as nails bestie, Sam, and her boyfriend Moon.
There wasn't any real drama, just a little jealousy brought out by 2 people that have been cheated on. Very quick read at 2 hours with a HEA at the end.

I just love this kind of stories. Lainey and Jase are strong characters that can really make everyone feel good at the end of the book. I know there are so many similar stories out there, but this one has that little catch which makes you read the whole book in one night. I highly recommend it, and I'm looking forward for the sequel :)
