Durante unos tiempos tan revueltºs y turbulentos en que se arrojaba poco a poco a los Arabes del suelo mismo que habian cubierto con la media luna cual si se hubiera desbordado sobre la España una in mensa ola del mar, parece que no debía haberse oido resonar acento alguno de la musa castellana, ni el menor cántico guerrero que alentara á la pelea.
