Masahiro Chatani was an architect, considered to be the inventor of orgamic architecture. He graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1956, later becoming a professor there.
If I could give this book 10 stars I would. There are 41 projects/cards you can make AND there are pages you can copy onto cardstock to make the cards. You cut on the solid lines and fold on the dotted, and it tells you whether they are "mountain" folds or "valley" folds. There is a large variety of projects, from palaces and castes, to various forms, flowers, animals, and even all the months. A truly useful fabulous resource for paper crafters.
The designs in this book are intricate but well laid out. I was able to use several of the designs with my high school class that is learning to make cards but I think that trying this with younger kids might not be easy. The book itself is very easy to understand with diagrams, templates, text, and photographs to give details.
