Ruby was designed by Matz, who is also called as Yukihiro Matsumoto. This is a scripting language and it can run on many different platforms like Mac OS, Windows and also different versions of UNIX. Ruby is an object oriented scripting language because even strings and integers are also having intrinsic properties and methods.
This isn't a book, it's a poorly written, unedited stream of garbage designed only to sucker people into giving this author money despite them not doing any actual work.
Incorrect syntax, spelling mistakes, missing punctuation - this book has it all. What it doesn't have is anything even remotely helpful to someone who wants to learn this language and/or master a skill. You'd be better off reading a bunch of web pages written in Swahili - unless, of course, you actually speak Swahili.
The book describes itself as a web development programming and coding tutorial - but there's no real discussion of web development, no available understanding of programming, and no real kind of tutorial in there whatsoever.
People who publish work of this calibre should be taken out and shot. I actually felt myself growing less intelligent while reading this book.
There's my "honest review", Joseph Joyner - just as you asked for. Hearty congratulations to you for making an overwhelming contribution to landfills and garbage dumps the world over.
