Nicholas C. Rossis lives to write and does so from his cottage on the edge of a magical forest in Athens, Greece. When not composing epic fantasies or short sci-fi stories, he chats with fans and colleagues, writes blog posts, and enjoys the antics of two silly cats and his baby daughter, all of whom claim his lap as home. His books have won numerous awards, including the Gelett Burgess Children's Book Award.

In addition to his best-selling series, Pearseus, he writes short science fiction/speculative fiction stories, many of which have appeared in various collections and anthologies. These include Infinite Waters, which was voted one of the best 50 Indie books of 2015.

What readers are saying about Nick's fantasies:

"Most avid readers still have books from their childhood which they read over and over again. 'Runaway Smile' has joined the list."

"From the very first sentence I realized I was not reading a book, I was going on an adventure."

"Each story is like watching an old episode of the Twilight Zone."

I received a free copy of this book from the author, and have given a fair and honest review here.

Pearseus: Vigil is the third story in the Pearseaus series, and is full of action and intrigue. All of my favourite characters from the previous books have returned in this one, and I feel the many and varied threads have been tied up nicely ... or, most of them have: there is room at the end for further tales if the author chooses. I can't say anymore without putting in spoilers. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, but I think I would have been better off re-reading the previous books first, as there are so many characters and plot threads to keep track of. But that's just me and my poor memory! The character development and world-building are done well, and the pace is fast but not exhausting. I noticed a few hiccups here and there, but nothing that wrecked the read for me. I can heartily recommend Nicholos Rossis as a Sci-Fi writer, and give a solid 4 out of 5 stars for Vigil. If you like science fiction, political intrigue, and conflicts, then you are sure to love the Pearseus series.

Another action-packed installment of an epic series.
Having read all the previous volumes of this epic tale, I found Vigil to be probably the most enthralling installment so far. There are a number of plots evolving simultaneously, played out by a multitude of diverse characters. I have come to have my favorites by now, and I follow their adventures thirstily as we’re now coming close to the much-awaited end. Vigil has been another thrilling experience on planet Pearseus, woven with tenderness as well as violence, humor, as well as heart-breaking tragedy. By now, I trust fully that Nicholas Rossis will deliver the conclusion of this epic series with absolute mastery, with the highly imaginative, effortless writing style he has demonstrated so far, and I simply can’t wait.

I received a copy of this book for beta reading and a fair review. I’ve become particularly attached to this story as time has gone by. I read Rise of the Prince and Mad Water some time ago. After a while, I found myself reading the prequel to the series because I didn’t have any continuing story to turn to. Fortunately, Nicholas Rossis is a diligent writer and we now have the third full book in the series.

Compared to the other books in the series this is an all-out action adventure story. The political games have all been played and in this volume the characters are forced to fight for what they believe in or lose it all. The author did a good job of wrapping up the outstanding story lines–even some that I didn’t realize would need wrapping up–and that added a great deal to the overall story.

All of my favorite characters were back in the action. There was plenty from Moirah, Lehmor, David, Sol, the Old Woman, etc., as well as the host of opposing forces. The action carried on right to the end. I enjoyed it very much and was happy to not be left with a bunch of lingering questions with regard to what became of the characters. Overall, this was a satisfying read and I look forward to more stories from Mr. Rossis in the future. The whole set is bundled for under $4, which should make it easy to catch up if you haven’t read the previous volumes in the series.

Vigil is the three installment of the epic fantasy series of Pearseus. I found this to be packed with even more action, well defined and fascinating characters, and more closures to some perplexing situations in the intertwining stories of the characters. The author answered questions that needed to be answered making this a successful installment to this wonderful series.

After reading the first two I found myself becoming more familiar with the intricately designed characters and scenes. The author's descriptive passages and dialogue grip the reader and pull him/her pell mell into the heart of each scene and one feels the pain and anguish of the characters.

I was given a copy of the bundle 1-3 books in exchange for an honest review. I found all three books to be thoroughly enjoyable and exceptional additions to the world of sci-fi action adventures that will one day become famous.
