Maeve finally moves into a new apartment, one with better security, and what happens? A chest freezer shows up with a dead body inside. This time though, Maeve is asked by Danvers to investigate by questioning her new neighbors. I found myself skimming through at the end with the: he did this, and he did that, and he's disappeared from this and... I got the gist of it. More big corporation espionage. I'm excited with the new romance popping up and Carter is a great mix to the cast. Not as dorky as he started out as. Looking forward to the next adventure!

Too much chick likes boyS airhead stuff, not enough actual mystery, too murder she wrote without the actual satisfaction of a somewhat well written cozy/murder mystery, and I don't have overly high expectations of cozy mysteries to begin with. Didn't get around due to a move to reading the previously bought 1-5 set nor the 6-10 set, now really wish had just put off using my amazon gift cards for other books and waiting to get it all on kindle unlimited. Have a couple of other freebie books from same author, doubtful will get around to them anytime soon.

Maeve finds her trucks doing so well that she moves to new digs...but when the movers are bringing up her belongings, a delivery guy also brings in a freezer with a corpse in it. Who's she gonna call? Why, Danvers and Land, of course! When she discovers his identity through her Danvers-encouraged sleuthing, she fears not only is she in danger but her family as well. Twists and turns here since there's a missing tenant from down the hall as well. Is it connected to the dead guy in her apartment, or is it just a normal coincidence in the life of Maeve?

Either it's better to read these Food Truck Mysteries in batches, or they really get better as Kendrick goes along.

Another Excellent Mystery by Chloe Kendrick!

This is the 5th book is the series. I've given each of the Food Truck Mysteries a 5 Star rating because they are well written. I love the fact that Chloe makes me feel that I know each of her characters personally. Whenever I read one of the Food Truck Mysteries, I get so involved in the book, I don't want to put it down until I've read the last word on the last page to see if I solved the murder correctly!
I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good who-dun-it with a little romance throw in. Enjoy!

This is the fifth installment in the Food Truck Mysteries series, they do need to be read in order for complete understanding. In book 5 Maeve decides to get a bigger and safer apartment, but the freezer that got delivered isn't hers, neither is the body inside. The story line is quite unique and entertaining, while each installment is the same, with just a new murder and a very slow developing relationship, they still are addictive. I enjoy the guessing game and hunt for the murderer. This book ends with a relationship cliff hanger that hopefully picks up in the next book.

This was excellent! I LOVED this one! A lot of drama and craziness, and some worries about Maeve's father being suspected of the murders, but in the end, it all works out well. And there's a new twist in Maeve's love life as well... Just read it! It's GOOD!
