Saffron Bryant is an Australian author with a passion for fantasy and science fiction. She began writing at a very early age and hasn’t stopped since.

She has a degree in Biomedical Science (with honours) and recently completed a PhD in chemistry at the University of Sydney.

Unfortunately her cupboard didn’t open onto Narnia, she didn’t get a letter from Hogwarts, and a strange man in a blue box hasn’t shown up… (here’s hoping for an old Wizard on my 50th!!)

So she spends her time writing stories and releasing them to the world.

~Happy Reading!~

Saffron is best known for her science-fiction action adventure The Nova Chronicles , which she describes as "Tomb Raider in Space".

I like the character of Nova and all of the predicaments she ends up in. The stories are interesting but in my opinion could use a little more depth of character. Nova is always going it alone except for in some circumstances. It would be nice to see more stable and prolonged interaction with those around her. While there are some recurring characters, their relationship with Nova feels more superficial than anything. They pop in and out of the story and while it seems like they care for Nova, and she for them, this isn't really explored in much detail.

Weak mystery

Hidden in weaker space opera. Wanted to like this series but she lost me at vampires. Enough of tough girl Nova, there are lots better things to read.

Summary: Hectic. Space opera SF, lots of action. Nothing nice about the people or the setting, grim stuff

Plotline: Not well thought through and a bit silly at times, but plenty of action

Premise: Really doesn't work and generally glossed over

Writing: fast and furious

Ending: Murder solved

Pace: Never a dull moment!
