The book runs approximately 1,050 words with a very limited vocabulary of 148 words (not counting different forms).

A wonderful first reader for students! This presents a compelling and comprehensible story for students to encounter.

Throughout the story, there are plenty of repetitions for words and phrases. This provides enough exposure for students to feel confident with their comprehension of the story.

If you are a Latin teacher (especially if you know about and use CI in the classroom), I highly recommend this fabula amoris (story of love)!!

Ideal as a supplement to a first-year Latin class. It features a lot of repetition and gradually gets more complex. It is short, so it can probably be used for a couple of class periods between units.

It is an interesting story, but it is so much filler stuff until the kidnapping. I don't care that Proserpina loves flowers, I just want see kidnapping.
