Threefold #1-3

Brad and Becca... and Colin

Rate this book
Colin Daniels is shallow, and proud of it. He only concerns himself with people who live up to his standards of beauty, and his best friend's new girlfriend is found lacking. Becca is curvy, loud, and apparently all for public displays of affection.

None of that would matter, if Colin didn't find her sexy despite his better judgment.

*

Brad Miller thought he was being attentive to his girlfriend's needs when he talked his best friend into having sex with her. It's Becca's fantasy he wants to fulfill, and that's the only reason he's trying to convince Colin to join the two of them on her birthday. Colin stubbornly insists it's a bad idea. Feelings may develop and risk their friendship, as well as Brad's relationship with Becca.

*

Becca Keith was never a one-man woman until she met Brad, but he's made monogamy fun, and she's head over heels for him. Her thirtieth birthday is in a few days, and Brad has promised her a rather unique gift—his best friend, cocky and irresistible Colin.

When Brad comes to her with a confession and a suggestion, Becca has a choice to make. She can stay with Brad, leave him, or give in to something that might make her happy beyond her wildest dreams.

Note: Previously published as separate novellas, Threefold contains three new scenes.

The story includes two stubborn, confused, and very hot guys, as well as a big beautiful woman, who loves sexy-times with more than one partners.

Sotia Lazu

Sotia cries at sappy movies and wishes she could take in all the stray dogs in the world. She lives in Athens, Greece, with her husband--whom she met through writing--their son, and their two rescue dogs, one of which might be part-pony.

Her genres of choice are romances with a twist and urban fantasy novels, always with vivid erotic elements. Her characters aren't exactly hero-material at first glance; she likes making them fight for their happiness. Still, the romantic in her can’t resist happy endings.

There were a lot of errors in this book that really annoyed me...

“This is Becca Keith. Can I swing by for a quick mani at around one?”

It was late for breakfast but the perfect time for brunch, and its name was pizza. The greasy, meaty kind. Becca reached for the last piece and looked at her turquoise nails. Nice and summery.

She wiggled her fingers.Brad would probably laugh at her choice. He liked red. The darker, the better. Where was he, anyway? It was almost noon. Was the stupid meeting still going?

Hang on its not one yet how's she had her nails done? So annoying!

The sex scenes were not great either, I'm sorry but there is no way any girl is having double penetration (for the first time) without any use of lube, and enjoying it!!

Overall this book seemed rushed to me, had too many mistakes for me to enjoy it, the story was ok, but the characters weren't developed enough, I didn't connect to them as I would have liked. Given the choice I wouldn't bother reading this again.

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Have you ever enjoyed a book so much that you were able to overlook the obvious flaws to reach your happily-ever-after? Threefold was a delicious treat, but there were definite flaws (in the characters, mostly) that I typically would not be able to overlook. Lazu must be some kind of sneaky word magician, because I loved this book and I’ll definitely be reading more from her!

Let’s talk about what I enjoyed first. I loved our female protagonist, Becca. She is all kinds of curvy, naughty, saucy fun and she’s not afraid to be herself! I love a woman who doesn’t let her insecurities rule her life. And the best of all, she uses her talent at nark to put Colin in his place when he pulls the “narcissist asshole” routine.

I also really enjoyed the naughty times, even the one that clearly stumbled into “cheating.” Lazu really brings the heat, so I was not disappointed there. Especially when Brad and Colin were able to get over their hang ups and focus on enjoying each other.

Where I was a little bit let down? Colin. Colin was a real shallow ass hat. He came off as cold and narcissist until I learned that he used his “shallow” personality to keep Becca and Brad firmly in the friends-only category. It clearly didn’t work and naughty times ensued. (And I really enjoyed those naughty times, in case I forgot to mention. Ahem.) So while he was redeemable by the end of the book, I really just did not like him in the beginning.

Even though there were a few things I didn’t like and didn’t expect to get passed, I loved it the experience and can’t wait to read more from Lazu. I recommend Threefold to anyone who can get passed the bumpy ride and enjoy the steamy romance.

At A Glance
A pretty decent erotica.
The Good
I actually really liked Becca, Brad, and Colin. They felt real, flaws and all. Beeca was a free spirit, wild, and forward. She doesn't let her little extra weight get her down. Brad is conservative, but Becca helps him release his inner sexy Alpha. Colin is a playboy through and through, but he has deep emotions that spring to life when Becca and Brad invite him into their bed.

Becca, Brad, and Colin battle their feelings and doubts as they find themselves more drawn to each other. I love how it's not just about Becca getting two guys, but also about Colin revealing his feelings for Brad, his long time friend. So scary but it spices things up.

I was engaged the whole time. I loved seeing how these three got together despite their hang-ups. They really did seem like they were meant to be together.
The Bad
The time spent in the characters' heads was daunting. It dragged on and on. I just wanted them to get over themselves and the drama they created out of thin air.

If we got deeper into these characters lives, this story could have really gone places. We get glimpses, but nothing substantial.
The Snuggly
I liked the sex. It was hot and you guys know I love MMF.
Final Thoughts
Though there is some serious scenes, this is mainly for the drama and sex, which was fine with me. I read this while I was sick and it worked. Nothing too heavy, but still entertaining. Recommended

Quotes
Brad raised his hips to meet the movements of her hand. Maybe she wasn't good for him after all. She was making him completely forget he was Mr. Cleancut. He'll regret it when he came to his senses.

Colin faced the screen, but kept sliding his gaze to what Becca was doing. His mouth was dry. Beside him, Brad panted. Brad looked straight ahead, but when Colin chanced a more lingering look at his friends face, he saw Brad's jaw was clenched, his eyes squeezed tight.

Colin was so hard, it hurt.

I liked the idea of this book and have read a few others that involve a threesome relationship, but for me this just didn't work.
Becca annoyed me so that took away from it and I felt like the story was rushed. The sex scenes didn't even come up to par.
This was probably more a case of "It's me not you"

Sotia is a new author to me. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I have to admit, I was skeptical going into this book. However, I had no reason to be.
I was shocked at how much I liked this story!
The author definitely has a way with words.
This story is sweet, sexy, and scorching hot!!
I have to tell you, there's so much more to this story then just the sexiness. The characters have background and depth.

This is a story about a fairly new couple, Brad and Becca, who are at a point in their relationship where feelings are starting to happen and boundaries are becoming blurred.
Becca's 30th Birthday is approaching and her boyfriend Brad wants to give her what she's been wanting but sharing his girlfriend is something he'd never thought he'd do.
As Brad thinks about this request from his girlfriend he can't help but to think of his best friend Collin and how much he'd love to share Becca with him.
But as the three come together to discuss this situation it becomes obviously clear that there's more to the story then what's on the surface.
Collin has been friends with Brad for six years and now that he's put in a situation that puts him so close to his best friend in such an intimate way, he's questioning what he really wants and how he really feels.
I highly enjoyed this story and watching each character unfold and go through self discovery.
There is humor, angst, and loads of flirty fun.
This story was definitely enjoyable and perfect if you're looking for a short story that will give you the full bang for your buck!!
I loved how everything played out and I really did enjoy all the characters.
You will love Becca and her brutal honesty, Brad and his good guy charm, as well as Collin and his alpha attitude with his wicked need to be in control.

Narrator Hollie Jackson did a great job!
She was able to tell the story from all three characters points of view and made it easy to follow along and get caught up in the story.

What a sizzling story this one was...I mean I knew I should have expected that with the title and all but this storyline has so much more going for it than just the steamy chemistry. Colin and Brad have been friends for years and Brad now has a girlfriend Becca who is being introduced to Colin (who is also a confirmed bachelor). Colin does not understand Brad's relationship but soon is presented with an offer that would make all his dreams come true - only he's scared that giving into his desires will only mean disaster in the long run.

These characters are amazing. Each has their own strengths but due to past experiences also have vulnerabilities that I feel like the author did a great job of introducing into the storyline. There is of course plenty of steamy scenes and chemistry but also a lot of character growth and acceptance found within too.

The narration was well done and I enjoyed the vocal changes that went along with the separate characters which made it easier to hear who's point of view we were listening to and who was speaking - really brought out these characters.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A really great book! 💕

As emotional and powerful as this book is to read, I can't imagine how hard it would be to live. But I think it would be worth it just to be as happy as they are. 💞

Wow; addictive; unforgettable!!!

His motto was, "if the pleasure is more than the pain, it's worth it."And he didn't mind a bit of pain anyway. by Colin

Colin was a player with a big ego. He dated model like women that made him feel powerful. When he met his best friend new girl, he had no idea why he couldn't get her out of his mind. She was everything he didn't usually like. Suddenly he was in the middle of a big mess. He didn't feel good to see his friend anymore, he felt lonely when he was with them. Could he ever belong to someone?

How could he be so possessive of her, yet ache to share her as much as she wanted to be shared-if not more? by Brad

Brad has finally found something to hold on to forever. What he wasn't expecting was all this conflict with his best friend. Is he ready to face a reality that may not be accepted by society? Or will he continue to fit into the mold?

And it's not just your looks. You're loud and opinionated and nosy. You always have a snarky comeback at the ready, and you flaunt your sexuality like a flag. by Colin

Becca has given up trying to fit in and has decided to be happy. She is comfortable with herself, she is a very sexual being and is not afraid of showing. She found the perfect boyfriend and is ready to settle down. So, where does Colin fit in? Isn't two the perfect fit?

Yeah! I love ménage reads. I like a steamy romance and I can't denied it. But Threefold is much more than this. It is a very hot read, like all books by Ms. Lazu. But most importantly it is an amazing journey of friendship, love and trust.

Threefold  is in a first-person p.o.v, and you get a chance to meet all three characters well. They  are all so different, but all easy to love, relate and understand. I have no idea whom I like more, but I know they are the type of characters that I will remember for a long time.

Even though I can see how this book has been written before as three different installments, Ms. Lazu has cohesively turn this into a fantastic novel.

This book is going into my all-time-favorite!!! I'm certain I will re-read it many times.

favorite_thumb-25255B2-25255D

I have to say that I'm not certain how this book is related to the first one of the series, so it can be read as a stand-alone.

P.S: This cover is sexy and hot like the read. I could totally see what kind of read I was getting it, and I would definitely by this book by its cover!

You MAY buy this book because you enjoy steamy reads; you SHOULD buy this book because you are following the series; you MUST buy this book because you are looking for a fantastic journey into love!!!

Threefold, by Sotia Lazu, revolves around Colin, Brad, and Becca. Becca's birthday is coming up and Brad wants to fulfill a sexual fantasy of hers as a birthday gift, a ménage. He invites his best friend, Colin, to help with the fantasy.

The synopsis made it seem like a quick and dirty read, but it was actually deeper and much better than I thought it would be. There is a lot of grappling with the “what ifs” of the situation. What if there’s jealousy afterward, would we be destroying our relationship? What if I start to feel more than I want to? The grappling of “what-ifs” and the steamy encounters during their decision-making created more depth than I expected from this book. In addition, I enjoyed reading how Colin went from playboy bachelor, shallow and arrogant, to guy with real emotions.

(Spoiler!) I will warn readers, this isn’t a Maya Banks/Shyla Banks type of usual ménage, where the guys are all about the girl. There’s a relationship that develops between the guys too, so a couple of MM scenes are in there.

I gave it a 4 stars – It was a good read. The steamy parts were definitely steamy, the deeper parts dive into the characters’ anxiety are well written. The less one star is because I wanted more. The final scene was a good one, but after all of the hesitancy about the three of them getting it together, I wanted to bask in it a little more.

3.75 STARS!!

I requested Threefold from NetGalley last night, but after a little investigating I found out that it was previously released in three installments. Because I'm impatient, I went ahead and downloaded the first installment (which was free on Amazon!) and read it...then went ahead and downloaded the next two parts, which was another couple of bucks. Granted, I didn't get to them because I was approved for Threefold (the full story) before I could start them. That's okay. It's worth the loss.

So, I thoroughly enjoyed the book! I will take it took me a little time (and I mean very little) to warm up to Becca. At first she came off as trying a little to hard to hang with the boys. I quickly got over that.

The story was actually really sweet. It was about three people each dealing with their own insecurities looking for people that they could feel comfortable around. I just wish we got to see more of their story. I would love to know more about the beginnings of Becca and Brad's relationship and see more of who Colin used to be so that his transformation would have a greater impact. Maybe we'll get some novellas in the future that tell us more.

I definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for a quick read!

So I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved each of these characters. They all had their flaws, sure, but the dynamics between them all were pretty great and I enjoyed the humor and banter between the them. I also liked that the focus wasn't just on Becca, but also the change in the relationship from friends to lovers between Colin and Brad. I think where I had the most issue was that so much time was spent during the story with the characters going back and fourth leading up to the three of them getting together, that once it happens it is rushed and left feeling incomplete. We also had a few unresolved issues I would have liked to see come to a more satisfactory conclusion, but overall I think the biggest disappointment for me was that we don't get to explore the connection between Colin and Brad more. The story did, however, pack plenty of heat and boy did it have a TON of angst. This was definitely a dramatic read, but I think with a few tweaks to expand the ending that this could have been a smash hit for me.

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Acelette Press and NetGalley.)

This was quite a sexy story, about a man asked to take part in a threesome with his best friend, and his best friend’s girlfriend.

Colin seemed to be the most sensible in this book when he told Brad that he didn’t think that having a threesome was a good idea because it would wreck their friendship, whilst Brad and Becca seemed to not even give that a thought. The sexy scenes in this were good though, and the story was believable and well written.

3.5 STARS --- I quite liked the story, each of the characters had very strong personalities. Their reactions to the given situations seemed perfectly suited to them. The story was on the shorter side, there really could have been a lot more to it, but it was good, there were multiple layers to the story and the characters and although brief, it was done well, I could relate to the characters. This was my first read by Sotia Lazu and I'll be checking her out again. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this short sweet at times, very damn sexy at other times story. I found in my version what ever grammatical errors were commented on in previous reviews were corrected. I can't say I wish it was longer because I really enjoyed the flow of the story and how everything developed. If it was longer then would have been more drama and it didn't need it. I could go for a book 2, with the development of the relationship and Brads company, and the families for both men. I would definitely read more form this author.

Who could have ever dreamed up such a good life ? Oh yes when Brad introduced Colin to his new girl he immediately decided she wasn't his type but was happy for Brad . The more they all hung out Colin started to see the attraction between Brad and Becca . No she wasn't the typical skinny girl that Colin preferred but she wore on him . Soon he was asked a favor he wasn't sure he could do by his best friend Brad. Getting close to Becca was a bad idea for him ... Guess you need to read it to find out what happens

I really enjoyed this book. I like how you saw things from each characters perspective.
Becca wasn't the average type of woman. She was a woman who even though she had some insecurities as we all do, she embraced her size, femininity and sexuality. I loved that!
It was wonderful to read about to see that not everything flowed smoothly in the beginning but ended on that happy note.

I look forward to reading other books from this author!

Happy reading

Honest Review For NetGalley.

I liked the book, it was a quick fun read, with hot sex. However, the actual delivery and character development actually lacked for me. While it was supposed to be a mmf book with mf and mm and mmf, the actual mm scenes were not well put together. I actually found myself re-reading to see if I missed something.

All in all not a bad book, could honestly use some work but it's a quick shorty book. :)

I was given an ARC of this book. And it was a sweet and sexy tale of 3 different people coming together as one. Each has been hurt and dealing with their issues. Each putting up a shield of sorts, but each of them felt things deeply. I liked how Colin, Brad, and Becca were able to get over their foibles. And just enjoy themselves without giving a fig about what others thought. Great story..

I didn't feel that there was as lot of story here mixed in with the hot sex scenes in this quick read. This story was just okay for me. I feel like there could have been a few more chapters of actual story and it would have made it better.

I liked this steamy story, Becca isn’t usually the kind of girl that only dates one guy and her 30th birthday is coming up and Brad wants to give her a special gift, Colin, his best friend joining them in bed. The story is a bit rushed at times and I admit Becca was a bit annoying for me. Overall it is plenty steamy and the story did hold my interest.

Definitely a book to recommend. Hot and sexy with a good story. I enjoyed the characters and how they all interacted with each other. Their feelings and how they reacted to what was happening. Nothing was too drawn out or over dramatized.
