MiMi Landry takes what promises to be an unforgettable trip to an exotic Caribbean Island with a sexy, wealthy new boyfriend. Unforgettable is right. When MiMi ends up behind bars she calls for help from her two best buddies, Willa Crown and Jazz Vaughn. MiMi finds herself on the wrong side of the law in an even deadlier way. Not one, but two murders. A Dominican gang, the local police, and the FBI are on her tail. But if any of them think she's going to get pushed around this time, they better think again. This eye candy has toughened up. She gets to the bottom of whodunit in MiMi Landry designer label style all the way.
Pretty Dangerous is the third book in the Triple Trouble Mystery Series. Book 1 is Best Enemies. Book 2 is Devilish Details.
I received this book from Goodreads in exchange for a review.
A relaxing vacation to the Dominican Republic for MiMi Landry and new boyfriend, Roderick Jefferson, turns out to be anything but, when both MiMi and Roderick land in jail. But Roderick’s involvement with local drug dealer doesn’t stop there.
Despite the help of best friends Willa Crown and Jazz Vaughn, and the reluctant financial help of her family, MiMi still spends three weeks in jail. When the trio finally make it to the airport, MiMi is none too pleased to encounter Roderick. But she is even more disturbed to find a detective and to learn that the ‘problems’ Jefferson got them involved in are far from over.
Back in the US, MiMi finds herself pursued by a Dominican drug gang, the local police and even the FBI. With the usual Landry style, MiMi and her friends are able to get to the bottom of the mystery.
I won this book in from Goodreads. It was a pretty good story with a good plot. However, the book had more typos than I have ever seen in a printed book. It might detract some readers.
