Vampires, shifters, bloodlust, and murder… Continue the romance between the royal vampire couple in another installment of the young adult paranormal series.

She’s keeping all the secrets to herself—and this time it might just be her undoing.

Rubi is sent to yet another creep-tastic boarding school where the antebellum south lingers like ghostly apparitions—or those might be real ghosts she’s seeing. Fortunately her delicious vampire boyfriend, Mac Davenport, is by her side as is the darkly charming Russian shifter Demy Dragoniv. Un-fortunately Rubi is craving blood and guess who she’s dreaming about sinking her teeth into?

New vampire and shifter students form the populace at Mossgrove Academy and not all are Rubi’s biggest fans, especially one southern bell shifter who has her eyes set on Mac Dav. Of course Rubi finds she has bigger problems than bloodlust and jealousy. She’s hearing mysterious whispers, seeing inexplicable shadows, and having violent nightmares about murder.

Beyond Mossgrove Academy’s supernatural safety, a deadly conspiracy lurks, threatening the royal vampire couple and their shifter allies. Secrets are slowly revealed to Rubi, but when someone close is taken, will she be able to uncover the deadly plot in time to save her loved one? Or will half her friends suffer the wrath of a familiar enemy?

Just when things seem to be settling down, the crap hits the fan again and Rubi goes into hiding at a new school. Of course, Mac and Demy are there, as well as a few other characters who pop up here and there. But the school has secrets—deadly ones—and as Rubi’s abilities expand, the school may not be so safe after all.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The mystery, the growing relationship between Rubi and Mac, the complication Demy poses, and Rubi’s growing abilities.

I can’t wait to see how it all ends in book 4.

Book 3 in the series and I'm still hooked. A few grammatical and incorrect word choices but they don't overpower the overall message. You want to see these two have an HEA....will they ever stopped being tortured and will Rubi ever stopped falling over dead people. Why she hasn't had a severe mental break yet is unfathomable.

I'm so glad these books have so much humor and romance since Rubi can't seem to catch a break. Her life is not what she ever could have planed for, with people trying to kill her, the changing, and girls going after Mac. And let's just say things gets interesting with Demy. What other myths are actually real.
