A free short story updating the relationship between O'Dwyer and Gamboa. There are still battles to be fought and won but oh what fun to see both these fab characters a little further into their happily-ever-after.

Fun, fun, fun. This is a follow up to Beyond the Call of Duty. In this short tale we learn how Eric “LZ” O’Dwyer and DEA Agent Nicole Gamboa are getting along and what is happening in their lives. I love Eric's reactions to Nicole and didn't realize how much I wanted this follow up.

This is the 6th book in the series but there are only 3 full books so far. The other 2 are short stories like this one.

This is not a standalone books and goes with at least 2 other books in the series.
I loved this couple when I read about them in their full book. However, we are now picking up months later when things have settled down for them and they are settling into their relationship.
During a night out, the heroine gets separated from everyone else and abducted. They are trying to payback her father which they are correct in assuming but it all hindges on a birthmark which she doesn't have. After that, she's let go and she goes to the hospital where our hero rushes to her. She tells him what happened but he's mad about it.
They let them go and the next day they are invited to a wedding of one of the other couples in one of the previous stories. Anyway the ending is what you really wanted to happen at the end of the full series book.
The plot and the way it was written was ok. Nothing too great and nothing really too shocking. I was really looking forward to this book, but it just didn't excite me unfortunately. The characters were still as they were in the past, but the plot just didn't excite me. I have to admit it was a real disappointment.

Short extension to Nicole and Eric’s story. I enjoyed it and recommend this series.
