DO YOU HAVE BIG DREAMS AND BIG PLANS, BUT LACK THE RESOURCES TO PURSUE THEM? DO YOU FIND YOURSELF SAYING "IF ONLY I HAD THE MONEY..." ARE YOU TOO EMBARRASSED TO ASK OTHERS FOR HELP?
In her best-selling book Daring & Disruptive and its sequel Life & Love, serial entrepreneur Lisa Messenger shared the business insights gathered in more than a decade of success across multiple industries, including how to identify your true purpose, pinpoint your passions and create the working life most only dream of. But, let's be honest, you need the means to make it all happen.
In her latest book, she tackles a topic with a stigma - money! What would you do if money was no object? How can anyone find profit in the impossible? And, when will the "gunnas" stop using a lack of money as an excuse for not stepping out of their personal comfort zones and pursuing their purpose?
Mixing advice from mentors, experts and famous role models, with lessons learned from her own entrepreneurial journey, Lisa reveals how she has built a global brand, and launched a magazine sold in more than 37 countries, without having to borrow a single cent from a bank. This is from a woman who, years before, would worry if she could make the rent.
In the self-deprecating manner that has become her trademark style, Lisa shares her own journey, clearly stating she is not a guru when it comes to finances, but has used fresh thinking and creative ideas to fuel a burgeoning business. She will help you appreciate your real voice, amplify your self-worth and find the means to achieve everything you dream of.
Lisa Messenger is the vibrant, game-changing founder, CEO and editor-in-chief of Collective Hub. She launched Collective Hub as a print magazine in 2013, with no experience in an industry that people said was either dead or dying. Collective Hub has since grown into an international multimedia business and lifestyle platform with multiple verticals across print, digital, events and education – all of which serve to ignite human potential.
Five years and 52 issues into the print magazine Lisa made the courageous move to “break” the very thing that she started – the print magazine – enabling her to take some time and space to evolve into the next iteration and again disrupt… watch this space.

This is the first of Lisa's books that I've read and I probably wouldn't read another. I'm all for being confident when you have earned your success, but this really reads like a self indulgent brag book, and is full of portraits of Lisa no other images. If you are a fan/follower, you might love it? Just wasn't what I was after
There seems to this echo chamber in Australian media of women “entrepreneurs” all telling each other how wonderful they are. It is amazing when someone comes from nothing and creates an amazing product or service, but it seems like every 30 something white chick in an Australian city has entered this entrepreneur club through blogging, fashion or graphic design. And then the book comes out and they add their pearls of instagram inspiration to the halls of literature. So in summary, this book was borrowed as a library ebook. I’m okay with that transaction - I wouldn’t recommend that anyone actually pay money for this.
Mindfulness is a term bantered around a lot at the moment... the use in this book covers the true use (being aware and purposeful with your focus/decisions), but not necessarily the populist use that has arisen (which is far more spiritual). There is some good info in here - a lot of it common sense - but the authors style is so me-me-me... it's almost like she wants to write an auto-biography but is afraid that people wont want to read it.
Some good stuff but she talked a lot about herself. I don't mind hearing successful people journey but didn't feel impressed by hearing over and over about herself.
I’m sorry to say this but this book was an awful choice when I just wanted to learn about finance, business owner, or self-improvement. All she was trying to say in this book was ‘look at me, hear me, I’m wealthy as I suffered a lot and went through heaps of tough times.’
If you think this book is about mindfulness, forget it. It doesn’t even mention the word. In fact, I am not quite sure what this book is about other than the author’s self-indulgence of banging on about her start-up career and her foray into the world of publishing. There is some helpful advice for entrepreneurs without going into great detail which the subject probably deserves. There are constant reference to the author’s own experiences in the business world which become a little tiresome after a while. There are quotes to inspire you and nice pictures of the author posing in a variety of beachwear in between chapters in case you forget who she is. And just to remind us what a nice lady she is, the author reminds us of the importance of giving.
I get what others are saying about this book being very focused on her “I’m known to say” etc
But I read it to learn her mindset for being successful. I think it was somewhat helpful but certainly wasn’t a step by step for bring abundance into your life (what I was looking for).
It’s okay. But I think probably better books out there for what I’m looking for.
This is my first Lisa Messenger book and I absolutely loved it! I could relate to her story in so many ways and our business is uncannily following the same path. The book gave me faith and even more confidence to keep going. Can't wait to read all her other books now!
