WHAT's MORE EXCITING THAN CINDERELLA FINDING HER PRINCE? CINDERELLA HAVING THE BILLIONAIRE's BABY!
After an unbelievable makeover gave her the confidence to strut her stuff at a charity ball, Kate Crosby went from harmless flirt to bedroom vixen. But she wasn't about to let a single night of oh-so-sultry passion with archenemy Peter Logan become anything more. Of course, she didn't count on seeing their lip-lock featured in the local paper!
Finally able to track the mysterious beauty down to a remote cabin, Peter learned the truth about her identity -- and that she was going to have his baby. Unable to stop thinking about Kate since the moment she walked into his life, he needed to convince her that their one-night stand should become a one-LIFE stand.
I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.
Life took a different turn for me, though, when my mother made me take a journalism elective in high school (thanks, Mom!). I knew the first day that this was where I belonged.
After I graduated from college in journalism, I took a job at the local daily newspaper and I reveled in the challenge and the diversity of it. One day I could be interviewing the latest country music star, the next day I was writing about local motorcycle gangs or interviewing an award-winning scientist.
Through it all -- through the natural progression of my career from reporter to editor -- I wrote stories in my head. Not just any stories, either, but romances, the kind of books I have devoured since junior high school, with tales about real people going through the trials and tribulations of life until they find deep and lasting love.
I had no idea how to put these people on paper, but knew I had to try -- their stories were too compelling for me to ignore. I sold my first book in 1995 and now, more than 30 books later, I've come to love everything about writing, from the click of the computer keys under my fingers to the "that's-it!" feeling I get when a story is flowing.
I write full-time now (well, as full-time as I can manage juggling my kids!) amid the raw beauty of the northern Utah mountains.
Even though I might not have dreamed of being a writer when I was younger, now I simply can't imagine my life any other way.

3-1/2 stars. I liked it. It was entertaining and well written. Well plotted with pretty good motivations and all. I am interested enough that I'm going to look up the stories of the other siblings.
Edited to add that I looked up the other siblings stories and they are all written by different authors. Hmmm, sometimes that works but sometimes the other authors are not people whose work I like. I guess I'll pick and choose.
Good book. This is an enemies to lovers/Cinderella story. Katie has always been the quiet, bookish one in the family, and very intelligent. She runs the research and development section of the family company. Thanks to a witch of a mother and a neglectful father, her teen years were pretty miserable, leading her to feel like an ugly duckling. After years of being overweight, she has turned her life around. A friend gave Katie a makeover just in time for a local charity ball, and she had never felt more beautiful. She didn't expect to draw the attention of hot bachelor Peter Logan, her family's archenemy, and her teenage crush. Katie avoids telling him her real name to spend time with him, and the attraction they feel leads to kisses and more. The next morning Katie sneaks off, not realizing that one of their kisses had been caught by a photographer.
Three months later Katie gets a couple of shocks. First, the photographer has finally identified the people in the photograph. Katie dreads what will happen when her family discovers she's been consorting with the enemy. Second, Katie discovers that she is pregnant with Peter's baby. This is the icing on the cake of disasters in her opinion. Needing time away from the firestorm that is sure to erupt, Katie flees to the family ranch for some peace and quiet to decide what to do. The last thing she expects is to have a very angry Peter show up on her doorstep.
Peter has been looking for the mysterious beauty ever since that night. He is horrified and angry to discover that she is a member of the hated Crosby family. Convinced that she seduced him to steal company secrets, he flies to Sweetwater to confront her. But the woman he finds there is very different than what he expected to find.
Their reunion is passionate, but not in a positive way. Peter is angry and spouts off with a lot of unsubstantiated accusations and slurs against Katie's character. She is stunned and equally angry about being accused of something so unlike her. She wants nothing more than to get him to leave her alone, but the weather doesn't cooperate. A spring blizzard strands them together.
I liked Katie a lot. She is super intelligent, but also a bit socially awkward. Though her makeover had given her a boost of confidence the night of the ball, it doesn't roll over into her everyday life. I ached for her and her belief in her undesirability. Though shocked at her unexpected pregnancy, she is determined to give the baby a better childhood than she had.
I liked Peter, too, once I got past his ranting and raving. As his past and insecurities are revealed, I understood his anger over what he believed had happened. In spite of knowing that he is loved by the parents who adopted him, he still feels that he has to earn his place. His fears over his family's reaction cause him to lash out at Katie.
I enjoyed the development of their relationship. Forced into close proximity by the blizzard, Katie and Peter have to call a truce to their battles. With the questions of motivation put on the back burner, Peter quickly realizes that the Katie he thought he knew is far different than the one who is with him now. I loved seeing him get to know the real Katie and discover that he likes her. I loved that he saw her for the beautiful and talented woman that she was. Over the next few days, as they work together, a deeper bond is formed. There are some fun and sweet scenes of them together, and also some places where their fears and tempers get the better of them.
As Peter and Katie discover that their feelings for each other have begun to grow and change they will have to find a way to overcome their fears before they can make a life together. A crisis with Katie's pregnancy shows just how much Peter has come to care for her and he starts to push for a future together. An unexpected appearance by Katie's mom shows Katie the truth of his feelings and enables her to believe in her own desirability. I loved how Peter called out her mom on her attitude toward Katie and the impact his words had on Katie. I liked the epilogue and how it showed the changes to the relationships between the families.
I loved this story. Kate Crosby and Peter Logan spent one incredible night together. But Kate had a big secret. She passed herself off as Celeste, knowing Peter wouldn't want anything to do with her if he knew who she really was. The Logans and Crosbys were business rivals and bitter enemies because of past history. And Kate had always had feelings for Peter, ever since he'd rescued her from an embarrassing situation when she was 15. When she realizes she's pregnant with Peter's child she takes off for her family's ranch to try to think things through and figure out how to handle her future. The caretakers have gone to their daughter's and she's all alone . . . until Peter Logan shows up unexpectedly on her doorstop looking like he's ready to strangle her. A picture of them together was posted in the paper with her true identity there for all the world to see. Including Peter! Unfortunately, he's of the opinion she slept with him in order to steal his company's newest invention. Which simply isn't true, but she can't tell him the real reason and she can't possibly let him know she's pregnant. When a snowstorm makes it impossible for him to leave, they soon find themselves reliving those feelings that brought them together to begin with.
Wonderfully warm love story and characters you really come to like as things progress. Pretty soon you want them to have that future with one another. But what do they do about the family feud?
Katie has always considered herself the ugly duckling of the Crosby family so when Peter Logan asked her to dance at the charity ball she couldn't believe it. One thing lead to another and she ended up in bed with him. Logan's have always been sworn enemies of the Crosby's. When Peter and Katie end up stuck in a blizzard at Sweetwater Ranch everything turns out for the better. A lovely romance story by a good author of romance. Try it you may like it.
A few housekeeping notes before getting into this one. This is a part of a multi-author series done by Silhouette, but I read this story as a standalone and don’t feel like I missed out on anything. You do not have to read the other books to read this at all. I will warn you though, it’s very interesting and made me want to seek out more from the series. That’s where I hit a roadblock of finding a true order of this series, or even finding out what books are included in the complete series.
This story is pretty emotional. I love both the hero and heroine, Peter and Kate. I understood the animosity Peter had toward Kate when he first discovered her identity. I also understood Kate’s reluctance to let Peter in on her pregnancy, or even who she was initially. Yet their chemistry is such that you just know they are meant to be together.
I appreciate that Kate and Peter got a lot of time with just each other, no outside interference. This helped them to let their true selves show without being bogged down by family and business. It allowed their relationship to flourish in a bubble, even while they were still keeping one another at arm’s length.
The realizations Kate came to at the end of this story were great. Although it took a big conflict for these truths to become evident to her, I’m glad she came to see things clearly on her own. I think that same scene really helped Peter to see with 100% surety that Kate truly never meant to deceive or hurt him or his family in any way. It’s wonderful that their HEA came with them also finding total faith in each other.
I’m not sure yet which “old” RaeAnne Thayne book I’ll be able to get in my hands, but I’m looking forward to whatever it may be.

Sweet romance, it is basically a Cinderella story. Katie a self-described geek is noticed by the son of her family's arch enemy. She lies about who she is to spend some time with him and then disappears. When they meet again, she is three months pregnant, in the middle of a snowstorm; and he is angry and feeling very deceived. Interesting story, well written.
Peter Logan is the head of a rival company, to Katie Crosby's company. Katie had been in love with Peter since she was younger when he came to her rescue at a dance. So when she came across him at a benefit gala for children, they hit it off again. However, that one night changed both of their lives. Beautifully written romance with great characters.
The heroine was, in her eyes, an ugly duckling. And then she loses weight and has a makeover. And one night at a charity event, he's there. He's intrigued and very interested. Then she's gone and three months later, she has a major surprise. He finds her. Highly recommend
I liked it, like all her books I’ve read. The Crosby’s and the Logans are rivals and enemies. When Kate Crosby comes out of her ugly-duckling shell for a charity auction, Peter Logan is floored by her. He doesn’t recognize her, and she just wants one night as Cinderella so she tells him her middle name, then disappears in the morning. Predictable ending, but getting there was a good story.

Snowbound in Wyoming, an interesting spin on Romeo and Juliet. It was an enjoyable light read. It's far better than anything else I've read in this series of Logan's Legacy, using different authors for each tale.
The story of Peter and Kate is very heartwarming. The way the couple initially started out years before was a sweet story of a caring young man. I enjoyed the story of how they were able to find each other and their happily ever after.
A cozy romance read for the cold weather days. Katie and Logan were an interesting pair to follow, but I became more interested in the family and the history toward the end. I think I’ll continue this series... series?
This book was a wonderful story. It started out some but ramped up quickly It turned out a unconventional love story I !I've reading all this Author's Books.
RaeAnne is amazing author. I know when I buy her books they are going to he good. This book was awesome. I would say this is my favorite book but I would be lying because all her books are my favorite.
I like the way the back story was told as memories instead of a prologue. I love the way RaeAnne tells a story. I haven't read a book of hers that I didn't like.
This was a rare miss for me. Usually (and really always) I enjoy Thayne's novels. This one was just meh. Too much fluff and no real substance. Gonna assume this was just a glitch.
This was just as good if not better the second time . The characters are great the story story line good I just need to find the rest of the the series
