About the author

Drew Middleton was a journalist and author. He was a foreign correspondent, and covered World War II in Europe for both the Associated Press (until October 1942) and The New York Times. After the war, he wrote books and was an international military affairs correspondent for the Times.

I know nothing of naval strategy and tactics. This was my first encounter with such a topic and I knew what I was getting into. It's more of a dramatization, but it was interesting to see how technology plays a different role in different battles, but always, always, always has its limits...
