My Eclectic Collection/From the Confines of my Mind/COLOR: Poems for the Ponder

Rate this book
Reviewed by Samantha Gregory for Readers' Favorite My Eclectic Collection: From the Confines of my Mind (Volume 1) By Ronald Allen Bell is a collection of poems on life and love. The poems include I Am A Machine. "I am a machine - I will go to work. Then the house I'll surely clean. Dinner I will make, power down, repeat, I am machine." I think this shows the monotony that we go through on a daily basis and how we automatically perform these daily tasks without thinking - like a machine. I think that the poem On Peace Do I Ponder is particularly poignant and will resonate with people, considering the current state of the world and everything that has happened recently in the news. "A world unified is a world wherein none will have power over another, therefore you will not see it anytime soon I am afraid." This is a very true statement. While we all strive for peace, it seems unobtainable in this day and age. Ronald Allen Bell has produced a nice collection of poems in My Eclectic Collection: From the Confines of my Mind (Volume 1). It reads more like a journal than a book of poetry. The pictures add to this look. It is the kind of book where you could find a poem to suit your current mood, so it would be good to have at hand. I think that this will be quite marketable as an insight into a person's mind and the way they view the world. I think the author has talent and will do well with his poems.
