I'm rolling around ideas to use my stash of black and white prints. These quilts will be grist for the mill.

The author's pattern and instructions for the Lemoyne star paper pieced appear to be excellent and are worth practicing. I used this star design for 5 3-6" stars on Kathy's Swirling Galaxy quilt. Jackie had 3 beneficial tips for easier construction: she provided sizes to cut the strips, used glue to hold pieces in place, and left the pattern for the next piece to be added folded back, which made it easy to eye ball the placement.
