In this Super Sandcastle Abdo biography about The Wright Brothers, the reader learns all about Wilbur and Orville Wright and how they became the famous inventors everyone knows. Through crisp photographs, diagrams, and informative text the reader sees the path that took the brothers to their fame. The reader learns that the brothers began their career by running a printing shop, and then a bicycle shop, where they both built and fixed bikes. We then learn all about aircraft, and the research that the brothers did prior to their ability to actually creating the first airplane. A great late primary non-fiction science title and series to include in any classroom or school library, this text includes a glossary, diagrams, captions, a table of contents, and bold words. There is an “fun facts” section at the end, and an “above and beyond” section to test the knowledge learned in the book, where students can try and extend their learning.
