With cute illustrations and bright colors, this book puts a new spin on an old rhyme. Kids can sing along as the frogs jump off, and then later jump back onto the log. A music CD is included, as well as a QR code, so parents can play the song on their smart phone too. The end of the book includes a few guided reading questions, a glossary of harder words, and a list of a few books to learn more about frogs.

This book (and other Read and Sing Along books) is an excellent way to help your child get ready to read! Rhyming and singing teach children that words are made up of smaller sounds, which will help them learn about syllables and writing later. Plus, this book and song will help children practice counting in a fun way. This book is perfect for toddlers and preschool age children. Other books with CDs by Steven Anderson include Itsy Bitsy Spider, I’ve Been Working on the Railroad, One, Two Buckle My Shoe, Rain, Rain Go Away, and Ring Around the Rosie. Read them all and soon these traditional rhymes will become household favorites!

A classic song with an added twist of bringing the frogs back on the log. The book came with a music CD, but we just read the book during storytime.

The version we picked up from the library was a board book.
Nothing too outstanding with the story but still fun for toddlers to enjoy!
