A mother’s secrets threaten a daughter’s future…

Bethany Waterbury leaves Hollywood and the shadow of her mother's death to give herself a fresh start. Her main intention—to connect with the family she’d never really had the chance to know.

Author Kent Black is enjoying his chart topping success and living freely wherever his travels take him. But when he meets the illustrious Bethany Waterbury his wanderlust subsides and the thought of a steady future begins to take over.

Kent believes in happily ever after, but the burden of Bethany’s past might be too much for him to embrace—unless true love is more powerful than a Hollywood tragedy.

Bestselling Author Bernadette Marie writes contemporary romances and believes in Happily Ever After. The married mother of five believes in love at first sight, quick love, and second chances. An avid martial artist, Bernadette Marie is a certified instructor and holds a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. She loves Tai Chi, traveling to Disney parks, and having lunch with friends. When not writing, or running her own publishing house, Bernadette is probably immersed in a Rom Com, from which she will often quote one liners.

I did not read the first book of this series yet I still was able to follow as if this was a stand-alone book.
Bernadette provided us with a wonderful story about a woman dealing with the loss of a loved one, the past that is hard to deal and almost killed her and is brought face to face with fates true love. She provides us with an unexpected romance, family secrets and drama which will keep you engaged non-stop.
Bethany Waterbury is a strong character that has been dealt a horrible hand in life. That is until she meets Kent Black. While she is fighting her demons he shows her how full and rewarding life can be when you are loved unconditionally by someone. What amazed me most about this book was that Bethany is a strong character and realizes that she is the one to fix her problems and faces it head on and that Kent is willing to push when needed and stand back when required.
I truly enjoyed reading this story about the Walker family and Kent Black. I look forward to the next installment of the Walker Family series to see what happens to Bethany.

Thank you to Netgalley for this book in return for my review.

This is a fantastic story that shows us we aren't defined by our past. Our future is ours to form and anything is possible. After living for years in Hollywood, Bethany Waterbury relocates to Georgia to get a fresh start and connect to family she's never known. Enjoying the anonymity of small town life, Bethany is very content with the life she is building. Then she meets best selling author Kent Black and her life is once again turned upside down. Kent has always moved around, never really putting down roots. Bethany makes him want to change his ways but will she give them a chance??

This one is great and I love these characters. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

2nd book bliss!

I was so excited when Bernadette decided to base her new series on a southern family from GA! She has hit the idea of a typical southern family out of the park!!! The second book in the Walker Family Series is even better than the first! I absolutely loved how hard and fast Kent and Bethany fell for one another...and thankful that they were able to overcome Bethany's past ghosts!! My only vCard complaint was that there wasn't more...I'm hoping for more in Walker Bride!!! This is a MUST READ SERIES!!!!!!!

Bethany Waterbury's father had married and divorced two wives, but never married her mother. After her mother's death, Bethany, an actress, turned her back on Hollywood, moved to Georgia to be near her step-family, in hopes of finding a connection. She has next to nothing, and ends up rooming with Susan Hayes and helping out with the catering business. Bethany meets author Kent Black at a book club, and things progress from there. Can she recover from her addictions, find acceptance from family, and discover love? Loved this book!

'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review'

This was the first book that I have read form this author and I was sucked in. Could not put the book down. Any author that can make me not put a book down except for necessary reasons is amazing in my eyes. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone as I obviously have not read the first book in the series yet, however I will be very soon! This is definitely a 5 heart read for me. I highly recommend reading this book!

I tend to enjoy anything and everything this author writes. The problem is she doesn't write fast enough!

Wonderful

This is the second book in the series and I loved it just as much as Eric and Susan's story. I can't wait to read the third book. Clean romance with no cursing.
