As Drew approached the gate to the ranch, his driver-side window shattered, and he felt a burning sensation as a bullet grazed his shoulder. He parked the truck across the quiet road, got out, and hid in its shelter while counting the bullets that hit metal, glass, and tires. He broke a side mirror and tried to see the shooter in its reflection, but it was shot out of his hand. When he thought that the shooter had run out of bullets, he fired over the hood, causing the man to drop from a tree and hide behind it. When bullets started back in his direction again, he ducked behind his truck, and the man disappeared. East Texas police officers are targeted by a marksman that seems to vanish after each kill. Drew and his friends race against time before the man picks his next victim. As Drew gets further into his investigation, he realizes that the killer's past holds clues to his next target. Drew's life is turned onto a path he couldn't imagine, and he faces new personal challenges while discovering that people he trusted may be the ones responsible.
