I found this book while looking for a book on how to be a good employee, and greatly enjoyed reading it. The book is primarily concerned with how you, as an employee, can be the greatest asset to your company, or invaluable. Shepard helped me take a look in the mirror and evaluate how much value I was really bringing to my company and reveal areas I am weak in. I recommend it.

If you're looking for a collection of banal advice you already new, name-droppings of other authors the author hung out with that one time, anecdotes about waitresses who served the author & how much he tipped them, and a general sentiment of "work yourself to the bone and enjoy it, peon", this is the book for you!

Required reading for Gannett management class. It's not the worst book I've ever read (so far) but not loving it.
