This book includes content from the original, now super-secret manuscript, “Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out,” and has been modified, embellished and enhanced based on reader interest in the characters from the original series.
There is really only one moment in time we can cherish, that we remember through all of the good and bad times in our lives. If you can take that one moment of time and cherish it forever, it can bring joy where there is sorrow; happiness and hope where there is despair. This is a secret that we hold true to ourselves, to our hearts.
Sometimes you remember the first kiss, the first time you fell off your bike, and the person who was there to pick you up, or when you fell out of the tree, you remember who carried you bleeding to the hospital, or cleaned up your wounds and gave you encouragement and inspiration to go on.
But it is this secret you hold true deep down inside that you can sometimes forget. When all else fails, it was the one true thing that you were supposed to hold onto, it molds you into who you are, and who you will be. It helps you evaluate who you were, where you were, and gives you focus on who you want to become, and where you want to go.
“Flourish and Flings” is the second of the Rainbow Reader series that reveals the sexual discovery, encounters and developing adventures that define the main character as he interacts with characters the readers wanted to know more about from the original Moments in Time series.
Fiction is a lie, but there is truth behind every lie.
Georgie’s 30 year journey spans the entire Rainbow Reader series and can be read in any order. However, for readers interested in following the timeline in complete continuity, the proper reading order for the series begins with the unpublished, “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” and continues directly into “Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.”
The timeline continues quite chronologically into the three “Moments in Time” novels.
Following the three “Moments in Time” novels, the story and timeline then continues to spin off different characters’ timelines in order to give the reader an all-encompassing, comprehensive and truly relative reading experience about the characters’ lives as they all develop individually.
The Rainbow Reader series begins again after the three novels with “White: Educating Hayden,” “Gray: Surrender,” “Black: Secrets,” “Brown: Reconnect,” and the final Rainbow Reader, “Silver & Gold: True Love's Kiss.”
There’s no better fiction than the truth.
Enjoy the second in the Rainbow Reader series, “Orange: Flourish and Flings.”
Writing was Adam's hobby. The voices in his head are constantly battling to get out, often leaving him working on four or five different books at once. He can't help but write. When he discovered he was actually good at writing, it became a full time passion that often interrupts his full time gig Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Along with his writing addiction he has a serious caffeine addiction. Some nights, the only reason he stops writing and goes to sleep is for the fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Teaching English in China, there are serious challenges living in a rural seaside holiday resort to find good coffee.
As an Author, Adam Stevens skillfully writes with a relevant, compelling and believable ability to articulate the emotional context of each character. He will captivate and engage you, in an addictive manner that will make you yearn for the next paragraph, page, chapter, and book.
As a Gay Romance Novelist, he has a brilliant magic with words that will draw you into his works with an almost addictive seduction. Each characters personality jumps off the page and into your heart.

I think you may be trying to kill me, Sir. I was so wrapped up in the emotional impact of Georgie's life in the first Rainbow Reader, "Red: Awakening," that I could hardly wait to read on, and have to tell you how much this volume touched my heart as well. The stories are well-written, unique and original, such as I have never read before. This story touched my heart so deeply, listening to Georgie share his life's journey, opening my heart to emotions so deeply, and at times challenging my ability to hold them in. I cheered, I laughed, I cursed at him, and I cried for him; big, ugly wet tears. At one time, I was crying so passionately at his hope for happiness, my 24 year old son was concerned and asked me, "What's wrong, Mom?" I just told him I was reading. There were moments of bravery, opening himself up to the possibility of love and an honest, meaningful connection with another person. There were light, fun moments, when Georgie was able to get a taste of what his life could be like. These moments were tempered by disappointment, betrayal and self-doubt, ultimately leading to a bone-crushingly self-destructive incident which broke my heart. This is the second in the series, and after reading the first book, I was addicted. I wanted more. I want to take Georgie and wrap him up in my arms and tell him, "Everything's going to be okay." I want to reassure him life goes on, and gets better. I see myself inside the book at times, and others, the characters jumping off the pages and are right in front of me. This series, so far is so addictive, I have collected the entire rainbow reader series, but time... These books linger in my mind for hours, days afterwards. These moments in time have become part of a precious journey; one which will continue to consume me as I follow the series to its ultimate destination.
What a great second edition to the Rainbow Reader Series. This one touched me just as deeply as the first, but in its own unique way. Beautiful saviors, sensual souls, and ultimately that sad survival. Such a dagger to my heart after experiencing such a glorious connection. Gary... Man, he was exactly what George needed, representing safety and comfort, unconditional love. And he gave it all so generously to George. How wonderful it was to see George accept it! He deserves to be happy, after all! He's as beautiful as they come! Innocent and kind, unwilling to hurt a fly. So, yes, much of this story was a balm to my soul, something I as the reader needed to sooth the ache I feel for George. If only George wasn't such a restless spirit, afraid to stay put. Afraid to believe, to even contemplate, the possibility that he is worthy of love. This journey is going to run me through the wringers, i know it. But if that means I can somehow feel like I'm taking the trip at George's side, somehow transcending time's cruel barriers to hold his proverbial hand through his many, many bitter tribulations, then so be it. Because I have a feeling a very big part of Georgie is real. And that real person deserves to never walk alone. Deserves love and especially a happily ever after, and I can't wait to finally witness him getting it.
I honestly don't know where to start with this book. It started off really good then literally towards the end I just couldn't believe the way Georgie was acting. His outburst were really out there.
His illness seemed to come out of left field. It felt like to me that it was just thrown in the story for added drama. It just didn't flow right for me. Maybe if there was more of a solid build up... Then it would have been more believable to me.
Then you have the whole different Id's and him just becoming a drifter. I don't know... The ending just threw me off.
I can honestly say that I'm skating by with this series. I'm still interested but just barely. I'm hoping this changes for me as I read on to the next book.
I loved writing this book, The second in the Rainbow Reader 99 cent Quickie series written as a Prequel to the "Moments in Time series." I hope you can grasp the emotional tragedy, character and sexual development of mistaking 'love' for sex as the series continues. Always open to positive feedback and critical analysis discussions. Send me a message, or friend me!
Yet again due to how much story in this book it didn't feel like i was reading a short story !! Adam has a great way of writing a supposed short story but giving it so much depth it is brilliant !! Loved reading what came next in Georgie's journey and while i still wanted to hug him i also at times wanted to slap him for some of his actions !!
I had a very difficult time getting into this series of books. First, the characters were in high school or just graduated. That didn't appeal to me no matter how genuine the plots might have been. In the end I decided not to finish reading the series and returned it to Kindle.
Continuing journey of Georgie who I have come to cherish. Georgie needs love and commitment also he needs to not doubt himself . At the beginning of the book he was finding himself with so much help from Gary who rescued him and Georgie needed that to be saved . Georgie finds his anxiety is difficult to control -- his gets so much help from Gary's family it's unbelievable their love to help him. So much more happens but I don't want to mention as you need to read it yourself. Awaiting the third book as I so need to see his journey . Written as Pat Jay
This story is leading me on an emotional roller coaster. As Georgie lives his life with so many highs and lows, I am a mixture of emotions. Adam Stevens spins a tale so vivid and real I feel as if I am in the story with Georgie. Georgie has distanced himself from his family. Gary steps in as a knight in shining armor to help him but is it really helping Georgie or just postponing the inevitable.
