This book includes content from the original, now super-secret manuscript, “Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out,” and has been modified, embellished and enhanced based on reader interest in the characters from the original series.
There is really only one moment in time we can cherish, that we remember through all of the good and bad times in our lives. If you can take that one moment of time and cherish it forever, it can bring joy where there is sorrow; happiness and hope where there is despair. This is a secret that we hold true to ourselves, to our hearts.
Sometimes you remember the first kiss, the first time you fell off your bike, and the person who was there to pick you up, or when you fell out of the tree, you remember who carried you bleeding to the hospital, or cleaned up your wounds and gave you encouragement and inspiration to go on.
But it is this secret you hold true deep down inside that you can sometimes forget. When all else fails, it was the one true thing that you were supposed to hold onto, it molds you into who you are, and who you will be. It helps you evaluate who you were, where you were, and gives you focus on who you want to become, and where you want to go.
“Green: Live, Love, Loss” is the fourth of the Rainbow Reader series that reveals the sexual discovery, encounters and developing adventures that define the main character as he interacts with characters the readers wanted to know more about from the original Moments in Time series.
Fiction is a lie, but there is truth behind every lie.
Georgie’s 30 year journey spans the entire Rainbow Reader series and can be read in any order. However, for readers interested in following the timeline in complete continuity, the proper reading order for the series begins with the unpublished, “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” and continues directly into “Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.”
The timeline continues quite chronologically into the three “Moments in Time” novels.
Following the three “Moments in Time” novels, the story and timeline then continues to spin off different characters’ timelines in order to give the reader an all-encompassing, comprehensive and truly relative reading experience about the characters’ lives as they all develop individually.
The Rainbow Reader series begins again after the three novels with “White: Educating Hayden,” “Gray: Surrender,” “Black: Secrets,” and will continue into “Brown: Reconnect,” and the final Rainbow Reader of the year, “Silver & Gold: True Loves Kiss.”
There’s no better fiction than the truth.
Enjoy the fourth in the Rainbow Reader series, “Green: Live, Love, Loss.”
Writing was Adam's hobby. The voices in his head are constantly battling to get out, often leaving him working on four or five different books at once. He can't help but write. When he discovered he was actually good at writing, it became a full time passion that often interrupts his full time gig Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Along with his writing addiction he has a serious caffeine addiction. Some nights, the only reason he stops writing and goes to sleep is for the fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Teaching English in China, there are serious challenges living in a rural seaside holiday resort to find good coffee.
As an Author, Adam Stevens skillfully writes with a relevant, compelling and believable ability to articulate the emotional context of each character. He will captivate and engage you, in an addictive manner that will make you yearn for the next paragraph, page, chapter, and book.
As a Gay Romance Novelist, he has a brilliant magic with words that will draw you into his works with an almost addictive seduction. Each characters personality jumps off the page and into your heart.

I don’t know how much more my heart can take. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not all angst. A lot of it is just his growing pains and finding himself. But when he hurts I feel it down to my core. And when he’s happy I share his joy. I’m captivated by Georgie. I’ll stick with him throughout his journey.
When faced with tragedy and loss on an epic scale in your life, what do you do?
In this next instalment of the Rainbow Reader Series, “Green: Live, Love, Loss,” we discover how Georgie copes with not only the prospect of finding the love of his young life and the possibility of ‘home’ that he has been searching and yearning for, but the kind of soul-destroying, gut-wrenching tragic loss which has seen lesser men, and women alike, succumb to the bone-crushingly dark sadness.
We follow Georgie as he returns to the States in the wake of his discharge from the Army and is faced with the challenge of building a new life for himself. While he plans and works hard to make this new life, events, and seemingly the whole universe, is conspiring against him time and time again, wreaking havoc and destruction where he should be finding love, acceptance and a sense of ‘home’. Further cementing his perception that he is destined not to blessed with these things.
I found myself, once again, swept along by the engaging and emotive style of writing, and become totally engaged with the continuing story of Georgie’s life. While I was blessed to be able to rejoice in those lovingly sensual and happy moments in time when he was experiencing everything that could be, I also felt the devastation of the tragic events as they unfolded; leaving me feeling like a small ship cast adrift on a stormy sea with no hope of rescue. This combined sense of Love and Loss have resonated deeply within my soul and I now crave the next addition to the series, “Blue: Hey! I’m Gay” in the hopes that Georgie finds solace, love, happiness and the ‘home’ that has thus far eluded his desperate search.
Please, if you are considering purchasing this book, do yourself a favour and purchase the entire series and lose yourself in Adam Stevens’ uniquely woven story.
As I kept reading this book. I kept thinking each book in a way is very similar.... It's starting to sound the same. The same things keeps happening to Georgie. He is happy, he starts to feel doubt, his anxiety takes over, something happens to who ever he is seeing at the moment, And depression kicks in, then he takes off to start a new adventure.
Books 3&4 book broke my heart for poor Georgie.
But... Georgie's need for love and self destructive behavior is starting to really get to me. I was hoping by now his life would have become somewhat stable. But there's never any peace for him.
Two things really stood out to me and I really had to think about what was going through his mind. The first thing was how he was still not admitting he was gay. He just didn't feel it. Since book one... There has only been one girl. But... He was with her boyfriend at the same time. If it wasn't for the boyfriend to tell him what to do with his girlfriend. He would never had been with her. Other than that small time with them. All the way to book 4. He's been with nothing but guys. I don't understand how can he still be so confused? And the 2nd thing was the whole co-op thing he had going on with the kids. I mean... That whole thing just didn't make sense at all. A grown man with a bunch of kids. No... Sorry... It was pretty creepy. I can't see parents going along with it and letting their kids do this. I really hope the next book in this series is somewhat different. I need a change.
So many mixed emotions. There is joy and sorrow. There is happiness and sadness. There is discovery, accomplishment and victory. There is turmoil, tragedy and loss. There is passion, a deep, deep passion that extends far beyond the words written in a book. Line by line I was drawn into each graphic scene emotionally captivated by the powerful message. Most of all throughout the entire story, I could relate, no feel the intensity of each emotion the MC experienced. A great five star read that took about two hours to read. Best two hours of my week. Looking forward to starting Blue next.
I am loving this series so far and this book was no exception. I feel really drawn into the character of Georgie who is desperately trying to find some sort of peace and love in his unstable world, but every time he finds love or what he thinks could be love, tragedy strikes in some form or another. This causes him to move away from the painful memories and the circle seems to start again. He has been subjected to so much trauma and unhappiness in his life that he is afraid to love and when he finally does that's when the unthinkable happens. Although I have used a few hundred tissues reading this series so far, there are many happy and beautiful moments in time to share. I am just beginning Rainbow Reader, Blue - Hey I'm Gay! and I'm really hoping Georgie finds some happiness before he reaches the age of 25!
I love the authors style of writing which draws you into the character making you feel every emotion Georgie feels, but also sometimes wanting to shout at him because of the decisions he makes. This series is well worth the read if you enjoy reading m/m stories/romance and the roller coaster ride of emotions it will take you through. Definitely mature readers only.
