The chapters on Ministry and Yokefellow are excellent. This Quaker has a very non-denominational slant and his idea of forming a group along the lines of the Franciscans to form a new "Fourth Order" of working people, non-clergy engaged in spiritual practices and social action is excellent.

Just too much of the vanilla facts of life to make the entire book an engrossing read...but I would buy it just for those two chapters.

This was more of a memoir than an autobiography, and I really enjoyed it. He doesn't go into a lot of depth about his life, but sticks to facts and overarching themes. Because of that, I enjoyed this a lot. There was a lot of good insight into life and how Trueblood lived out God's purpose for his life.
