Cynfell Brothers #4

Sinful Cravings

Rate this book
Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. The Cynfell brothers are the very embodiment of a sinful existence. But could the right woman change that?

Gluttony

Lord Jasper Cynfell—wastrel, blackguard, a rake of the highest regard. He puts every rake in England to shame.

Henrietta Foster—daughter of a vicar and a volunteer at the village orphanage. Few women can claim to be as virginal and upstanding as Miss Foster.

At least not in Jasper’s eyes. The uptight Miss Foster vexes him at every turn. The laced-up woman won’t seem to leave him alone—even in his dreams. Why does this woman seem to be turning up everywhere he looks? And why is there something innately appealing about her?

Hettie knows Jasper dislikes her. And she dislikes him in return. But after the disappearance of her rebellious sister Emma, she needs answers. And for some reason, all paths keep leading to Jasper, as much as she’d like to ignore him.

However, after Hettie is forced to accept Jasper’s assistance to track her sister down, Hettie finds herself inexplicably drawn to him. It can’t be because he’s as handsome as sin or because he makes her feel like a woman for the first time in her life. After all, the stalwart Henrietta Foster would never have her head turned by someone like Jasper.

Would she?

This fourth book in the Cynfell Brothers series was quite the bit of entertaining. Jasper Cynfell a notorious rake who doesn't deny that he likes his women and bachelor life. In comes Henrietta and the rake is plagued by a woman who is way out of his league.

I truly enjoyed the hero and heroine of this story. There was banter, attraction, and steamy intimacy...all that I like in a historical romance. Nicely written and just enjoyable for a short story.

I read this book as part of the box set, " A Rake For All Seasons".

I really enjoyed this unusual ADULT XXX Historical Romance💕 about Hettie💃💋, the older sister of Emma, and Jasper🐺🍆⛲, a well known rake and one of seven sons of a Marquess.

Hettie💃💋 has come to London to find Emma, who has apparently run away from living with their aunt. Hettie💃💋 hardly knows where to start looking but going into a pub is a bad idea.
Jasper🐺🍆⛲ happens to be sitting in the pub and stops her from being robbed by two unsavory characters. He must protect her!

Jasper🐺🍆⛲ is a incorrigible womanizer💃 because he likes it! He has a well deserved baaaad naaaasty reputation all over town. Most people don't realize he is also somewhat of an astronomer, and writes articles for a paper. He might be a rakehell🐺🍆⛲, but he's not a wastrel!

Jasper🐺🍆⛲ feels protective of Hettie💃💋 and insists on helping her find her sister. The race to find Emma leads them on an adventure into Scotland.

I really enjoyed this ADULT XXX Historical Romance💕.

Jasper Cynfell is bad. Oh, so deliciously bad. And who doesn't like the bad guy; even just a little? Henrietti Foster; that's who. She is completely put off by Jasper and his unwholesome behavior; particularly with women. So why does she find herself imagining what it would be like to be on his arm, and in his arms, with his lips on hers?
Jasper doesn't couldn't care less about 'Hettie', with her starched collars, prissy manners, and plain look. That is, until he witnesses her wield her umbrella like a sword, rescuesher from almost being run over by a passing carriage, and saves her being caught sneaking uninvited into a party. Now he found himself smiling each time he thinks of her.
And now Hettie needs his help to find her sister Emma, who has run away to Scotland. Will either of them be able to put aside their cravings, or will they submit their sinful thoughts?
Samantha Holt does a wonderful job grabbing the readers attention immediately and drawing you into this story. As with the other Cynfell books, it's a novella, and as such a quick read. There's only one bit of 'naughtiness' in the whole of the book, but so light in nature, I can barely even deem it that. The real story is around these two characters discovering that the kind of person they thought the other was, isn't at all, and perhaps may end up being much more so, than they could have ever imagined. Another winner from Ms. Holt.

#4 in this wonderful series, but can be read a stand alone. This "sin" is gluttony.
A quick read, one in which I thoroughly enjoyed. Hettie and Jasper, the H/H in this story, has alot to recommend them, but can they find their HEA?
Filled with steamy sensual scenes, remorse, healing, redemption, romance and love with a bit of mystery and lots of passion.
9nce again, Ms. Holt has written an intense, emotional roller coaster, interesting and satisfying read. Strongly recommended for fans of Historical Romance. Can't wait for the next installment.

3.5 Stars (4 enjoy Maureen Driscoll, Elisa Braden, Sophie Jordon)

I love series around family members or a group of friends. I love the series even more when the author intertwines those characters throughout the book series (it’s a pet peeve when authors don’t do that because what’s the point of the series and introducing the characters if they are not going to interact throughout the series).

The development and interest in main characters and secondary characters was enjoyable. I really did like the H/H for this book; very well paired as a couple. I loved the writing around the women empowerment (it wasn’t over the top for me).

writing style is easy to follow, humorous moments, the give and take dialogue enjoyable.

romantic/sexual content is written well throughout the book (kissing, oral, love making). I’d rate it 2/5 hotness and steam.

would absolutely recommend the book and the series even though there short stories. Will take 2-3 hours to read each book in the series.

I still enjoyed the book for a one time read and the series.

Jasper Cynfell is an unrepentant rake. Henrietta Foster is a prim and proper vicar’s daughter. The only thing they have in common is finding her missing sister. In their search for Emma, they get to know and grow to like each other. When they find Emma, Hettie learns that Jasper has been keeping secrets about Emma. Hurt and angry, she sends him away. Can she forgive him? Can their budding romance be saved? This is the story of a staid umbrella-wielding young lady and the jaded rake who tries to help her. It is a short enjoyable read, chocked full of humor, and with an entertaining hero and heroine. Sinful Cravings is a fun addition to the Cynfell Brothers series. I recommend it.

Jasper was rake, who only thought about the next woman he could sleep with when he wasn't working on his study of the stars. Hettie was just trying to find her teenage sister and bring her home when she runs into him at a bar. He decides that he wants to help her when she sees a letter from her sister that she is Edinburgh. With broken down trains, robbers, and protesters their journey is not without peril. But Hettie is pretty tough with her parasol even when he doesn't stop trying to seduce her. This was a steamy historical romance.

Jasper Cynfell is a self proclaimed rake, just like his brothers, & is an unlikely suitor for Henrietta "Hettie" Foster, a vicar's daughter. Hettie comes to London in search of her sister, Emma, who has disappeared & has met Jasper on a few occasions. Jasper agrees to help her in her search & over time, they become attracted to one another. The characters are fun & likable & the story keeps you turning pages with some twists & turns that you do not see coming!

What a hilarious romance, in the best of ways. I just loved Hettie from the beginning, so straightforward and independent. Seemed quite straight laced, being the daughter of a vicar, unlike her wayward younger sister. Hettie finds herself on somewhat of a harrowing adventure tracking down her missing sister. Starting in London, she meets Lord Jasper and gets quite under the rakes skin while he gets in her way and on her nerves. Loved it and decided to read the first book in the series.

JASPER AND HENRIETTA LOVE THE SERIES

LOVED THIS - The whole series is great but short.
Jasper Cynfell was finishing up his drink when a young lady walked into the bar he saw two men approach her, she pulled out her umbrella in protection he offered her help she was quite independent and refused.
I found this quite enjoyable, the interaction between Jasper and Henrietta was interesting to say the least.

A self-confessed rake volunteers to help a vicar’s daughter find her missing sister. There’s not a lot that happens along their journey, but they’ve got the hots for each other and manage to act pretty respectable for most of the book.

I liked Jasper and his personality. As the 4th book in the series I just found it okay. There really was no appearance from the other brothers and Jasper makes a brief appearance in the previous book which made me feel less connected to Jasper in the overall series.

A different romance

It seems like the usual love story but the twists at the end are unexpected. It is something that I like about the series.

Another unique addition of adventure into this regency novella. An unlikely pairing, but most enjoyable to read. I see this is book #4 in a series, but this is the first I've read.

Title: SINFUL CRAVINGS
Series: Cynfell Brothers #4
Category /Genre: Historical Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Received from: Amazon purchase
Grammar/editing: A – near perfect

This is the fourth book in the Cynfell Brothers series. Each does stand alone.

This is one of those books that I call a “relaxed read.” Nothing about it stresses me (though the characters do have some stress in their lives). Hettie and Jasper at first fight the feelings that are stirred upon first contact, but, when each recognizes those feelings for what they are, they are noble enough to lay aside convention and expectations to lay claim to what they desire. Though there are no dragons to slay and neither is overcome with the desire to kowtow to society, I admire their mutual desire to assure the safety of Hettie’s selfish sister, Emma, before pursuing their own cravings.

I loved how both Hettie and Jasper were multi-faceted jewels, with unexpected sides to be explored, nurtured, and admired. I look forward to the glimpses we’ll receive back on their lives in the future books in this series.

Another wonderful story brought by one of my favorite authors, Samantha Holt.

Book Four in the Cynfell Brothers series, I read the second book Sinful Deeds which was okay so I went for this book when it was free for kindle.
Lord Jasper Cynfell is yet another Cynfell brother who is probably wasting his life in London when he meets the sweet smart Miss Henrietta Foster. She is more then a little dangerously spontaneous, but it is only because she is desperate to find her little sister before she is ruined. Although Emma Foster is in some big trouble which will change her life forever when Henrietta and Jasper is falling in love as they go on their road trip where they eventually find Emma.
So just another 'rake' with a heart of gold finds love with a plain spinster type plot.

3.5 Would have been my rating so I rounded up. This book was a quick read. It took a few chapters to catch my attention. Once the book got interesting, I wanted to finish it. I read this book without reading the others in the series. I did not feel lost. It can be read alone. I like the hero Jasper very much. I did like the heroine, Henrietta, but she went from up tight and hating Jasper to wanton within seconds. The story is complete, but could have made a longer story. Took a little longer to bring them together and a few more details. This book takes place a little later than I usually like to read. I normally read Regency, Scottish, or Medieval. I enjoyed it enough that I would like to read the whole series and learn more about all seven brothers.

This is another amazing book by Samantha Holt.

You'll find Lord Cynfell (Jasper) chasing after gluttony. He takes everything he can get.. Why not? But things change the moment he meets Miss Foster.

Hetti Foster has to keep everything in order and while trying to find her sister meets the mysterious sexy Lord Cynfell. But she can take care of herself... ESP with that umbrella. Ha!

These two are opposites that attract instantly! They are just right for one another!

If you loved any of Samantha's other books you'll love this one just as much! They are short and filled with sexy men and kick ass women!

4 stars!!!

This is the 4th book in the Cynfell brothers series. Another novella, this story was about Jasper and an unlikely match of a vicars daughter Henrietta. Hettie comes into his life unexpectedly searching for her sister Emily who has disappeared in London. Through a few chance meetings Jasper helps her in her search and an attraction forms between them. This story will keep your interest with a few twist and surprises that are unexpected.

I enjoyed getting to know Jasper and Hettie. she seemed a bit ungrateful and rigid. I wished there was more to ending as to how Jasper would be making his living. also wished the other brothers besides Julian appeared in the book.

Enjoy

I enjoyed this book but I felt the end was rushed. It needed another chapter before the epilogue. It also needed to be proofread.
Other than that, it was a quick fun read.

Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. The Cynfell brothers are the very embodiment of a sinful existence. But could the right woman change that?

Gluttony

Lord Jasper Cynfell, wastrel, blackguard, a rake of the highest regard is having a drink when a young lady enters the den, two men immediately accost her. Jasper may be a rake but he can’t leave a woman to be attacked & robbed. Henrietta Foster is a vicar’s daughter and a volunteer at the village orphanage. Few women can claim to be as virginal and upstanding as Miss Foster. She can use her umbrella to good account though.
The uptight Miss Foster vexes him at every turn. The laced-up woman won’t seem to leave him alone, even in his dreams. The pair seem to continually bump into each other. Hettie knows Jasper dislikes her and she dislikes him in return or does she. The reason she’s ventured to London is to find her sister Emma who has disappeared & for some reason, all paths keep leading to Jasper, as much as she’d like to ignore him. However, after Hettie is forced to accept Jasper’s assistance to track her sister down, they both find themselves inexplicably drawn to each other.
I’m loving the Cynfell brothers’ stories & I think Jasper is my favourite so far. This is an easy reading entertaining book, it’s not very long between a novella & novel. Jasper & Hettie are so likeable & to all intents & purposes so different but Jasper has hidden depths which Hettie soon realises. With umbrellas, bushes & highwaymen the plot keeps the tempo up. I’d recommend the whole series which I’m binge reading – now onto book 5

Jasper has a very colorful background. Is a great countermatch to Hettie. She is the daughter of a vicar and she even volunteers for the village orphanage. Then there is Hetties sister Emma and the many connections to Jasper. Will these to find out what happens to Emma? Must read.
