Three goofy cats explore the great outdoors in book four of this hilarious graphic chapter book series, perfect for fans of Squish and Bad Kitty !
Mr. Pants really wants to be a Rugged Ranger—or so he thinks. Shooting bows and arrows sounds like tons of fun, but hiking and camping? Not so much. His sister Foot Foot, on the other hand, can’t wait to test out her wilderness skills. There’s just one Girls aren’t allowed to join the Rangers! Their nature know-how is put to the test when the siblings have to survive an overnight camping trip with their Ranger Leader uncle and unruly cousins.
Don’t miss the first three Mr. Pants Mr. It’s Go Time! , Mr. Slacks, Camera, Action! , and Mr. Trick or Feet!
Scott McCormick is the author of more Scott McCormick bios than any other Scott McCormick who ever Scott McCormicked. Look it up if you don’t believe me. He also writes the Mr. Pants graphic novels and the hilarious Audible Originals The Dragon Squisher, Spies! Sneak, Snoops, and Saboteurs Who Shaped the World, Mutually Assured Detention, and the number-one bestseller Rivals! Frenemies Who Changed the World. But who are we kidding? The real money is in writing bios. You take that advice to the bank. Tell ‘em Scott McCormick sent you. And if they ask you which Scott McCormick, you tell ‘em the Scott-McCormick-bio-writing Scott McCormick of the North Carolina Scott McCormicks. They’ll know who you mean.
This might be the funniest Mr. Pants yet! The cat antics are always hilarious but I also loved the poke at gender roles and stereotypes portrayed by the two scout groups.
You know those quiet heaving laughs where no sound is coming out of your open mouth? Yeah. That kind.
My son looked at me like "what the hell is wrong with you woman?" I'm pretty sure he's never seen me laugh like that before.
This book takes cats, and basically makes them like children. All the crazy things your kids do that drive you batso, but are also adorable... and annoying. Also, I'm an outdoorsy person, so this book hit home.
I recommend this book highly to parents who are reading to/with their kiddos with graphic novels. Fun and hilarious.
I picked this book up at the library because my kid loves cats. Although some parts were hard to follow (because they are cats, and a lot of story was packed into the pages), it was a great story of a family of three cats full of personality. Cleverly written and the story comes full circle. great job!
Mr. Pants thinks he wants to be a Rugged Ranger. That is, until he goes camping and finds it doesn't suit him. But he's a wiz at selling cupcakes, thanks to Grommy's help, so he becomes a member of a club that's just right for him. More silly cat adventures for young readers to enjoy.
This book was funny but strange to me. In this book Mr. Pants I thought was a strange character in the way he acted and the way the cartoons were drawn.
Review by an 8 year old: I liked this book. Mr Pants is one of my favorite book characters because he's a cat, he's orange and he's funny. This is called a graphic novel and it makes me laugh.
It's been a while since I read a Mr. Pants, and maybe it's absence that makes the heart grow fonder. But I found this one to be pretty entertaining. Probably the best of the series.
Pretty basic concepts of story line. Feel like I have heard the stories before, except the human kids are actually cats. I did appreciate the female cat being allowed in the boys outdoor group, though.
