I love my dog and I'm very interested in witchcraft, so this book is right up my alley. I enjoyed it, but probably will not buy or read again. Each chapter has a bit of history and myth about dogs, then a couple spells and practices for including your dog with your craft. The history and myth parts were really interesting, but I didn't connect with the spells. Most spells involve lots of specific items (even though the authors claim all spells use simple, easy to obtain materials), and all spells involve petitioning different deities. All fine and good, but since I do not connect with gods or goddesses in my practice, most of these spells are not for me. All in all a fun read, but maybe only applicable to certain types of witches.

Such a refreshing topic for a magick-related book! I'm not much into working with animals specifically even though I very much respect their place in the world and find them to be great companions, especially dogs. However, it was cool to see a magickal book relate specifically to canine spells and information. It wasn't super witchy or a comprehensive guide about witchcraft, but I think it is a worthwhile resad.

Language is dated: “thug” and then like, but the book is well researched and includes so many different religions and spiritual practices, i’ma let it slide. 👀
