This was a tough read. A little bit too all over the place for me. Some decent nuggets of information, but I struggled to retain many tidbits that would be worth applying to my own thought process.

The present creates the last

This book is very good in reminding us that here in this moment we are choosing our new future and soon to be past.

Also, what good is accumulating information if we're not using it.

Action is where it's at.

Reminds me of a James Cameron quote:

"Pick up a camera, shoot something, no matter how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your. friends and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now you're a director."

We are all, in some crazy way, directors of our own lives. Small adjustments right. Granted in movie making, we can do another take, we can re-do shots, but in life we also get a new beginning, with only exception that we can't erase that past.

So what?

Make a new shot, enter the scene and do it again. Small improvements gather steam.

Read this book in just 2 sittings, longish sittings mind but just 2 as I couldn't put it down.

I love the insights in this book and that I got from it. It's now covered in wee stickies for placemarks of things I want to remind myslef of and to do.(Though Steve says her prefers transformation over information, you cant help but give yourself some to-dos from here)

Steve writs in a conversational style that is effortles to read and so much the better for it.

I'd recoomend this book to anyone who wants a quick insightful read on getting better as you every day and for some great ideas to live by .

Steve Chandler's essence comes through in every book of his I've read. His authentic nature, sense of humor and whimsical ability to present truth in a way that is digestible is brilliant. It's Crazy Good! I'm going to pick it right back up, read it, and consistently implement this craziness. Thanks Steve for sharing that we can all have a crazy good life, ...right now!

Dinner Table

This is the sort of book that I want to discuss at the dinner table. People would argue and want to prove their limited points of view. They want to prove their ‘stick’ position is unchangeable. But they are wrong and Steve proves this in every chapter. I want Steve Chandler at my dinner table.

Choices

Mr. Chandler’s book reminds us that the difference between a mediocre life and a crazy good life comes down to a series of choices.

He then gives us a listing of those choices.

The results are profound. This will be one of those books that gets re-read over and over again.

Such an easy book to pick up. I found myself talking about it frequently with friends and family. A quick read organized in themed sections with short chapters in each section. Simple and powerful, might even say life changing, concepts!!

Another motivational self help book, this one more nonsensical than the average. So if you want something you have to do what you are doing (!) but 5%. No wonder the current governments see that a social project is a bad idea, and they just add 5% more money to its budget.

It's your life. You can always choose & when you do choose, choose actions. Choose kindness.

Hopefully, I can bring this to my life.

Scratch that.

I will bring this to my life.

The meaning of the journey of life is in the ascent, in the path of discovery through growth. The more difficult the climb, the more beautiful the horizon will be.
Inspiring book!

Follow my reviews and reading list closely and you'll see I can't seem to get enough of Steve Chandler. And that is true. I even pay him to coach me.

Although he didn't pay me to read this book, write this review or say anything about him at all, he DID gift me a copy, which is not surprising at all if you ever get the chance to experience Steve Chandler.

In the two weeks since receiving Crazy Good (and before I could sit down and thoroughly read this latest installment) I purchased four copies and shared them with two strangers and two clients. I've already contacted the publisher to place a bulk order.

Why?

Because the book is -- as its title suggests -- crazy good!!

Chandler is a master of simplification. His is a gift for seeing patterns that most of the known world employ, use as a crutch and an explanation for behavior and inaction, and then he shows us that another -- better -- option exists.

But only every time.

Seeing these distinctions leads us to choice. When we choose something different we place ourselves on the path to a crazy good life, not just a life lived on its way to death.

I'm choosing to gift this book to many more people because my life is exponentially awesomer (when you live a crazy good life you can make up words) living FROM choice and joy giving.

Be a joy-giver to yourself and read this book. You'll be crazy glad you did.

Loved the book! Deceptively easy to read (as are all his books) and right on the mark. Every chapter gives you another power tool for your tool box which you can choose to either use or not. I'm certainly adding them to my own tool box!

As with his other books I'll be rereading this book again (and perhaps again) to really take in the message.

Thank you Steven! You have shown me, or shall I say reminded me I do have options, Choices and that's a wonderful thing to know! Now it's time to apply, make better choices to live a Crazy Good Life! Much Love!

Great book for awakening the mind, that we do have options, right here right Now. All that's needed is Action!

Chandler's books always take more than one reading, so I'll let you know when I'm not reading for information. The core message is the same as ever, and I agree, though?

Really didn’t enjoy this audio book. There were some interesting points but there was also a lot of waffle and faff. Not for me.
