3.x★, but I nearly rounded up this time. Once again this author combines magical and muggle methods in interesting ways, with loving support for Harry. I really like these Grangers. I just sometimes (not always) found the writing a bit flat or reportlike, whether describing personal developments or ones relating to the long-standing conflicts, i.e. Headmaster Meddlemore's persistent, rarely-repentant manipulations as much as Moldy Voldy and his loathsome crew. The content warning is for some death of canon characters (not ones major in this story) in two incidents, one being the last-chapter doesn't-take-long climax, the culmination of their preparation.

An interesting Harry/Hermione AU in which the summer after Sirius's death is very different. Harry refuses to return to Privet Drive and the Dursleys are murdered. Harry spends the summer with Hermione and gains new allies, in particular Amelia Bones and some non-magical instructors.

Harmony. Killed SS ignominously but could have been worse I supposed. Not sure what happened to Bella, the rest of the Des deaths were described.

I've reread this fic several times - full of tropes, but well written. Harry decides he'd rather not go back to the Dursleys, and things snowball from there.
