Dragonflies: Book Two of Solomon's Vineyard

Rate this book
Most living in the small French Town welcomed the success of the English owned vineyard, but for those who blamed it for putting the local Cooperative out of business, the election of an Englishman as Mayor is the last straw.

Inspector Goudon becomes convinced that the car crash in which Ellie Solomon and her son Billy are killed was no accident, and it is not long before her daughter Holly, the current owner, realises that her Mother's bitter enemy Sabine Bush, who still blames Ellie's husband Marcus for the death of her own son, has seen an opportunity in what has happened to finally seize control of the vineyard from the Solomon family.

Dale Mori from the University of California is appointed to oversee the vineyard until the Court makes a final decision, which is bitterly resented by Holly and sets in motion a train of events no one could have foreseen - least of all the ones who started it.

Dragonflies is the second book in the series 'Solomon's Vineyard' and continues the story of an English family's struggle to turn a rundown farm in the French Auvergne into one of the most successful vineyards in France against the opposition of enemies determined to get rid of them altogether.
