Crew Angel has always felt like the outcast and fears he will be treated differently if his deepest desires are uncovered. Haven has been the head of Storm's guard for centuries and has just been reunited with his pride. One of the Underworld's Legion Warriors, Laylen, is a daredevil that loves to live on the edge. When the three meet, they find that when it comes to the bedroom, they all share the same needs and desires. When Crew falls prey to a mysterious illness, the pack finds that they cannot help him because Crew has actually been possessed by an evil being. During a bank robbery Haven gets shot and Crew gets taken hostage. The two bandits then make the biggest mistake of their lives by bringing Crew to his home to hide out from the authorities. What they find in the house in the woods is something neither of them could have ever imagined. This book contains double anal penetration.

Another great read, could have done without the though for some reason this type of thing bothers me less in m/m books then m/f books! On to the next one...
I love this series. The guys from the Angel pack are so incredibly wonderful, funny, and loving that I just want to the series to last forever. Especially since Maggie Walsh keeps the original guys active in each successive book. I never tire of reading about Micah and Jesse, or Taylor and Gabe, and even though I thought Crew was not the nicest wolf in the pack, I even ended up loving him too in this installment.
Crew was a jerk to all the mates in earlier books, and at times I thought he was just a big ol’ bully and not a very nice guy. I could not have been more wrong. He, like the others, has a past and secrets that are slowly, and at times, painfully uncovered. Watching Jesse and Taylor love and support him after he treated them so poorly was simply inspiring. I know they had every reason to think horribly of him, but it was nice to see they took the higher road and accepted that Crew was more than meets the eye.
There were many unexpected turns in this story. Some seemed a little far fetched, but they were extremely entertaining and not once did I lose interest. Seeing Crew and Haven and Laylen come together as mates was sexy as sin, and seeing the three big, strong, alpha types claim each other was scorching hot. I am a huge fan of alpha males and ménages so this story did not disappoint.
As is the case with the other books in this series, the storyline concerning the upcoming paranormal battle continues to move forward, and I have no doubt that if it’s not begun in the next book, it will happen shortly afterwards. I am also looking forward to seeing Raith find his sons, and seeing them all finally settled. Matthew is a pain in the ass, but he has good reasons for being that way and he just breaks my heart. I know Raith will be exactly what he needs to come to terms with his life, his past, and his future.
So again, I am recommending this series to all who love shifters and the paranormal. I, for one, love being taken on a trip in a parallel universe, and I look forward to seeing how all our guys handle the upcoming war and seeing who else finds their mates.
Rating: 4 stars I think this is one of my favorite of the series so far. I love Crew and thought the scene between him and Taylor was really touching. It was good to find out the reason behind some of his actions. A lot happened in this book and I continue to enjoy the interactions between all the characters in the series. My only nit-pick with book is that I didn’t particularly like Laylan as a character. He wasn’t bad. I just didn’t connect with him. I personally think this would have been better with just Crew and Haven mating, but still I really enjoyed the book.
This is probably the hardest and most personal review I’ve ever written. I have never been able to relate to characters as much as I have with the ones in this series. The authenticity behind these characters is one that is hard to find and even harder to replicate. I thank you Maggie Walsh for allowing me as a reader to get lost in a world where it is OK to wave your freak flag loud and proud. If you take away anything from this book, let it be that you should never hide who you are from those that you love because the people that truly love you will accept you flaws and all.
Now that I’ve bored you with my lecture … let’s talk about this fantastic book and how much I need all of you to run and get it… Like for real open up a new window, head over to BookStrand and buy it ASAP… If you don’t have this series… what the hell are you waiting for… get your booty over to Amazon and click it
Oh Crew my lost and defeated Crew…. this story was gut wrenching at times not because Maggie made this story-line up from thin air but because Crew is someone we’ve know in life. Crew is like many of those homeless teenagers we read about in news; lost, confused, and dejected from life due to the betrayal of those that are supposed to love them.
Crew may have many insecurities but my boy is cock slut the bigger the better and boy are those scenes HOT… ok not just HOT but SO fucking HOT (excuse my language) I am a lady after all…
When Crew meets Haven he goes into a full blown panic attack thinking his mate will reject him after smelling him and the fun he had the previous night. After dealing with the misunderstanding Crew and Haven are inseparable until they meet their third mate. Laylen is one of the Underworld’s Legion Warriors, strong, sexy and his mates wet dream. Like with all of Maggie’s books dark forces are around to threaten their bond; Malachi to be exact and his henchmen. I won’t give too much away because I NEED for all of you to read this book but Taylor and that gang are hysterical in this book. I laughed, I cried, and let me tell you crying in your cubicle at work is not something I recommend … but I couldn’t put this book down.
Heu!
This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also coincides with Beyond the Angel Pack Series.
This book managed to touch me with some of its more emotional tones. Crew in the past books gave the impression of one thing. But he is so much more and really very relatable by anyone who has felt like an outsider.
Due to his upbringing with his family he has such a low opinion of himself. It takes two mates and his chosen family to make him see how truly special and appreciated he really is. But he does have so many issues to get there.
I enjoyed Haven and Laylen. I don’t feel like I know as much about them, but what I did learn and read made me like them for Crew. Really I got the sense that this was Crew’s book, Haven and Laylen were there to make Crew happy and finally give him peace and happiness. They finally allowed Crew to be himself.
Oh my Gawd, was the sex hot, and dirty, and whoo. It was steam worthy to say the least. And maybe just a tad over the top. But damn I was fine with that.
Throughout the story there is the ongoing story arc of good versus bad and the upcoming battle. Malachi and his cohorts are up to their old tricks and target Crew with some bad juju. It also showed how Crew was seen as the weakest link and how he was overlooked as an assist to the pack.
I must say this was one of my favorites in the Angel Pack universe. I really felt a connection to Crew and his trials and tribulations. The book really pulled me in and kept me reading. I was engrossed from start to end.
