Poppy Taylor is tired of playing gooseberry to her loved-up friends. She wants a man of her own to snuggle up with in time for the holidays – and Christmas Day is only ninety days away.
She’s set her sights firmly on the new man in property developer and all-round nice guy, Toby Blackwood and she's hoping it won’t just be the wood burner in her cottage keeping her warm as the cold, dark nights draw in.
But Toby’s obnoxious, older brother Ryan, a self-made millionaire, makes it abundantly clear that he has other plans for Toby and he’s not going to let Poppy get in his way.

Emily writes novels, novellas and short stories about friendship, family and falling in love. She believes in love at first sight and she loves a happy ending but knows that life doesn't always go to plan. Her stories are sure to bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart.

Having lived and worked in London for several years, Emily returned to her home town of Hastings where she writes full-time. She’s a member of the SoA, an Amazon bestseller and a Kindle All Star. When not writing, Emily says she can be found enjoying the stunning East Sussex coast and countryside, but she’s more likely to be found with friends, enjoying a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, and definitely some cake. Emily has two mischievous rescue cats, Beatrix and Portia, who like to sprawl across her keyboard, regardless of whether Emily is typing on it, or not.
I like this author and have read multiple books by her. Unfortunately, this h is shockingly immature. I had to go back and make sure she wasn't a teenager. The author has inadvertently created a character who conforms to the worst antiquated stereotypes about women -- she's petty, indecisive, overly dramatic, illogical, and throws tantrums. Fortunately she is an aberration for this author. I would suggest trying another of her books.
I am absolutely loving the Goldebury Bay series of book. This is the third one, and they can all be read as standalone, although if you love series where you have recurring characters and its the main one that changes each time, from a friendship group, then you may want to check out the other books in the series too.
Poppy is fed up with all of her friends pairing up, and she desperately doesn't want to be single for Christmas this year. When she meets Toby Blackwood at her friends party, she is convinced he is the man for her, the one who will be snuggling up to her Christmas morning.
What she doesn't count on, is Toby's family showing up in Goldebury Bay, and especially his older brother Ryan, who seems to have an issue with Toby and Poppy having a relationship.
Well they do say the course of true love doesn't run smooth, and it is never more apparent than in this story. This is a very romantic book, some fabulous romantic gestures, and a fair amount of drama thrown in for good measure.
It was brilliant to see the continuing stories of Cleo, Sophie, Thaddeus and Oliver, who are Poppy's close group of friends, and made me feel like I had never been apart from Goldebury Bay. I am really hoping this isn't the last we have seen of these characters, as I really do love them all.
I'd also like to mention, that although Christmas is mentioned in the title, it really does focus on the ninety days to the lead up to Christmas, and its not purely focusing on the festive season, so if you are thinking about reading this not at Christmas time, its not overpowing throughout the story, however the scenes featuring Christmas Eve, will make you wish it was Christmas party season already!
Ninety Days to Christmas is a wonderful romantic comedy, there are sections that will make you laugh out loud, Poppy getting stuck springs to mind, as does some of her banter with Ryan, there is an over the top romantic gesture which gets a mixed reaction from the ladies, and there is a high action heart pumping bit of drama that was quick and intense. Oh and the party to celebrate the lunar eclipse (which happens on 28th September in real life), is definitely not to be missed.
I think Ninety Days to Christmas is a fabulous story, just the right mix of its various components, and was a delight and pleasure to read. I was hooked at around 20%, and didn't want to put the book down at all.
Another amazing read. Loved all the characters in this series and wanted it to go on for another few chapters. It made me laugh and in some parts
Another amazing read from Emily. Loved all the characters in the book and was so happy for Poppy, didn't want the book to end. It was both funny and sad in parts but loved the outcome. Can't wait to start my next book. Emily has amazing talent.
This is the 3rd book in the series and loved this book as well. I couldn't put it down! It was great reading about the characters from the first two books, but introducing more in the book. I just loved it and wish there was a 4th!! I would definitely recommend.
Poppy finally got her man! It's hard to believe it's Ryan!
It is quite a story for Poppy Taylor and her group of friends. And what's a Christmas story more several engaged couples and an upcoming baby. Top of the tree is Poppy finally getting her man!
I really enjoyed this book and the characters are really well written and enjoyable to read, I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries
I loved all 3 90 days books, practically reading 1 in 2 days.I have read so many of your books on lock down, easy reading and can't wait to see what happens next
I knew exactly where this one was going after the first chapter; it just dragged out so incredibly long that it made the story tedious. The first two books introduced characters that were easy to like and root for. Poppy was perhaps the most self-absorbed and least likeable (except perhaps the nasty old biddy at the church), so I knew book three focusing on her character could get annoying fairly quickly. It took 75% of the book for her to begin to redeem herself, but she eventually won me over and though the ending was predictable, there were enough loose ends to keep me interested in the continuation of the series. Here's hoping it will have everyone living happily ever after without a bunch of smugglers, thieves, or wife beater/kidnappers. For a supposedly sleepy little village there surely is an abundance of filthy rich folk and crooks!
I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of this book from Emily herself. I was so excited to start reading this one as I have read Emily's previous books in this series. This book like all the others can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them all as they are all fantastic reads. I loved catching up with all the characters and seeing what happens next for them all. Even though Christmas is in the title of this book it is more of a lead up to Christmas so it is not focusing on Christmas. A lovely romantic book which I really enjoyed reading and I really look forward to reading the next book of Emily's. You just know it is going to be good.
I found it difficult to begin with reading 90 Days to Christmas by Emily Harvale. It may be because it is the 3rd book in her Goldenbury Bay series. I didn't care much for the main character Poppy at first but I did warm to her by the end of the book. The romance element between her and Ryan seemed very rushed and the relationship I feel didn't get explored as much as I would have liked. She liked his brother first and then switched to Ryan. A nice read though.
I really struggled with this book due to disliking the main character so much. Poppy just came across as spoiled and self self self all the time. On the other hand the character of Ryan was great and the storyline with his sister was actually really interesting. I'd have liked that to have been more prominently featured than Poppy blindly bouncing from one brother to another.
Emily you have done it again. This was by far my favourite book of the series. There were so many twists and turns, that ensured that my attention was piqued from start to finish. All the characters are so believable and the setting sounds magical. I can't wait to read your next book, as I know that it will be just as good.
