Loved the book
I love all of Hope Callaghan books but this one was special.
It was fun to watch how Grace and the girls banded together like mother bears to protect Jill , Grace's daughter.
My most favorite and hilarious scene was with Ruth and the drone.
I cried at the ending and I look forward to book 9.

Nobody messes with Gloria's family! 😉 When someone sets out to sabotage the chances of Gloria's daughter buying a house it's up to Mom to find the culprit. With the help of the Garden Girls detective agency they bring the baddie to justice. A emotional 😔 read this time as one of the girls faces a health crisis and someone starts talking smack 😡 about Gloria and Margaret. But it's still happy ☺ as the Garden Girls include a new member.

I absolutely loved it! I love beautiful friendship between these women. I would love to visit this place in real life. Until then, I will just visit through reading. This is a must read series! I can’t wait for the next book!

Fantastic story
Gloria is trying to prepare for the holidays and her wedding when her friend Dot is diagnosed with cancer. Her daughter Jill is moving into a bigger house but it is supposedly haunted. The prayerful way the garden club approach their challenges is comforting

The storyline for this book is a little different … no murder but there’s never a dull moment in Gloria Rutherford’s life! The Garden Girls are endearing, yet quirky, mostly older characters and they have a knack for getting into curious situations and adventures. All Ms. Callaghan’s stories are Christian based, and do not include any offensive language, graphic violence or sexually explicit scenes. In this book, Ms. Callaghan has blended a wonderful storyline and character development with a unique mix of mystery, mayhem, family and true friendships. I’m already looking forward to the next book so I can learn what predicaments Gloria, her friends and family get into next and what mystery is in store for them.
Officer Paul Kennedy has asked Gloria Rutherford to marry him and she is ecstatic! They’re planning a Christmas wedding so all Gloria’s children and their families can attend. There’s so much she needs to do and so little time to do it because Christmas and the Wedding are less than two and a half months away. So much has been happening recently that she hasn’t given much thought wedding planning. Gloria receives a financial windfall and shares it with her children. Her daughter, Jill, decides to use part of her share to move her family into a bigger home, but someone tries to scare her away from purchasing it. Gloria asks the other Garden Girls to help her find who and why. During their investigation, they discover a puppy mill and try to turn this awful discovery into a positive. Sadly, one of the Garden Girls receives devastating news and, as usual and without being asked, all the “girls” pitch in to help their dear friend in her time of need.

Who is trying to scare Jill
The girls get bad news about one of them. Gloria gave all of her kids money for the sale of the coins. Jill found the perfect house but someone is trying to sabotage the sell. Galore and the Garden ladies are back trying to find out why. I am sure going to miss the awesome books by Hope Callaghan. I have read them all and am trying to be patient while the next book comes out here in October.

Jill and Greg decide to buy a larger house that's when trouble starts. Jill's house is rumored to be haunted. Gloria goes into detective mode. Dot gets some bad health news. Good story, love the characters.

Thiss is definitely a series that one wants to read in order and in a timely manner as each one flows right into the next. I had all of them at hand and was able to enjoy the long, extended storyline. Each book solves the main mystery but lots of loose ends provide fodder for the rest of the series.
