Rate this book
The past is behind her... or so Candice Drakeforth wants to believe. She's left her acting career and established a new life - as a member of a mountain resort's ski patrol. When she meets Jeremy Braunfeld, Candice is convinced that she has also found a new love. But then her ex-finance, Edwardo, reenters her life, stirring up old feelings of humiliation, anger, and shame. As Edwardo tries to destroy Candice's relationship with Jeremy, she fears that Jeremy may give up on her. Will Edwardo succeed in his plans? Is Candice's relationship with Jeremy doomed to failure? Will Candice embrace God's grace and forgiveness that alone can set her free from the chains of her past?

Basically fluff; it bothered me that the two main characters were so cuddly almost immediately, with no explanation, but I was thrown for a loop when Candi's role in the movie was explained.

After a second read, it's still a pretty good story, but the hero is really stalkerish for my taste.
