Magic 🪄
Nick Bellamy is an F.B.I. agent with issues. With his wife murdered and his son in a coma, he has become a drunken wreck!
Although he has an idea who the murderer is, nobody will believe him. So he is on his own trying to find “The Creeper,” and get his revenge.
But it’s not going to be as easy as he thinks. It appears that The Creeper has a lot of hidden horror to aid his way, and also, a lot of secrets that Nick doesn’t know about.
The first book of an interesting new series, that’s full of witches and terror and magic and a lot of suspense.

Mortal Eclipse is the first in the Nick Bellamy Thriller horror series written by David Brookover.
FBI agent Nick Bellamy and his cohorts, Crow and Neo, are looking for a serial killer that no one believes actually exists. He’s recovering from his wife’s murder at the hands of the killer as well as dealing with the realities of a comatose son, also courtesy of the killer. Nick, Crow, and Neo get help from the witches of magical Duneden, Ohio. Crow’s grandfather also tags along helping out with Native American magic.
Nick is pulled around by magic from one place to another. Often, he is being rescued from imminent demise. Neo has a really bad time in Duneden. The killer seems to be able to stay just one tantalizing step ahead of the searchers.
My favorite character in this story is Neo, poor guy. The characters seem just a little bigger than life. That’s OK for heroes. The evil is very evil. The witches are good. And, the other dimension is just out of reach. Yes, another dimension that the witches and the evil came from. Magic isn’t my thing, however, the book was interesting enough to keep me reading to the end. I recommend this book if you like magic and monsters.

Actually got this at book signing years ago. Just getting to it.
First have to give kudos. To the author showing a pleasing wealth of imagination.
Lot of things he taps on.
Problem with that, is just way to many facets. He tries to cover.
Kind of makes the story to fantastic or busy.
Base line FBI X-files kind of tale.
Having witchcraft, gene splicing/ tampering.
Along with inter dimensional travel.
With any book/ story. You usually have to give some space. To just accept at face value what is related.
Same time like some current Hollywood films.
There is just WAY to much. Your just supposed to accept.
Seems to miss having much of it grounded. In anything but the authors imagination.
Figure this an early work. So hopefully later books. Maybe tighter, more believable.
This one just had the feel. That a lot of it put in. For the shock and awe effect.
That you can not accept it as possible reality.
A very creative read, that just does not seem. To back up, all your expected to accept, in the story.
