Cast out of Heaven and stripped of their angelic light, Anya and Micah are sent to Earth where they’re free to live as a human couple. Considering themselves lucky, they embrace the sentence as a blessing rather than a burden. With little money and no one to turn to, they move in with an elderly woman, becoming her caregiver, and soon learn being human comes at a high price. Stuck in a world where lies, illness and dark forces surround them, their dream of finding Heaven on Earth is short lived. With the trials and tribulations of Heaven, Hell and Earth bearing down, they must draw on their angelic origins to fight for the love they were never supposed to have. Between Heaven and Hell is forbidden love.
Georgeann Swiger earned her degree in journalism from West Virginia University, and then spent five years as an anchor/reporter at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, WV. After having children, she left television news to be a stay at home mom. During that time, she discovered creative writing was more fun than writing about real life tragedy. Imagining interesting character and having them come to life on the page is now her passion. When she’s not writing, she works as a substitute teacher. She lives in Reedsville, West Virginia with her husband, two kids, and a temperamental cat who tries to rule the house.
Anya and Micah were sent to Earth as punishment for loving each other. In the second book, we find out that Lucifer has become obsessed with Anya and wants her for his own selfish needs. But Micah refuses to let that happen even with his dying breath.
In this book, you'll follow their story as they wander the Earth in the most difficult times. From starting at the bottom of worldly problems of being broke and homeless, they start to work their way up. This is where they meet the elderly woman and rid her of her troubles and in exchange, they are offered a home and food. But of course, this story would be going nowhere without the other characters.
From the beginning, there was an obvious tension from Anya to Micah and visa versa. No one wanted the other to be there. Which was funny. You kind of fell in love with their growing animosity towards each other because it reminds you of an elementary school where kids thought the opposite sex was completely and utterly full of cooties.
As I read Georgeann's book, the more I fell in love with Anya and Micah's story. Although, this specific ending had me on rollercoaster feelings and made me lose a couple brownie points for Micah. In this specific book, a certain someone pssssssst It's Dahlia will come back and drive you crazier than you can expect.
You'll find another female just about as insane as Dahlia. Maybe even worse.
On that note, when does Dahlia ever leave Micah alone? Never. That's when. Her obsession with him is past a maternal love. Which brings me to the fact that I liked this idea of how angels are created. There was no sex needed to make this book interesting. It was the relationships that formed between the characters within a couple of pages.
Trivium, the 3rd novel in the Trinity of Souls series does not disappoint. When Anya and Micah are sent to live on earth, life is not easy for them. In fact, they are set up to fail. A new character named Garnet is introduced to the story. She is a feisty elderly lady who coaxes Micah and Anya to arrange for her release from the nursing home where Anya works and return with her to her farm. Her character lends a very human element to the story. It’s not long, however, before the characters from previous novels appear on Earth to assist the couple’s struggle; they learn that Lucifer intends to use his evil power to coerce Anya to make good on her word to live with him in Hell and become his partner in creating a new life. The angels in Heaven are not about to let that happen without a fight and flex their collective angelic power to foil his plan. Conflict builds between good and evil and the reader follows Anya and Micah on a treacherous journey from Hell, to the pristine beauty of Heaven, and even on a slight detour through Purgatory. Each scene builds on the next as tension heightens and the reader learns what Anya’s and Micah’s destiny will be. A great read.
The turmoil some couples go through to be together...WOW
So many things happen in this book. Heaven, Hell, and battles. Be sure to read the first and second books, Adorned and Cloven before this one or you will be lost. Waiting for the fourth book now. Georgians ends the books in a way that keeps you thinking about what is happening next.
