Mayank Sharma aka Mak Vashi was born in a small village of Rajasthan. He was brought up in Nagda, a small town in Madhya Pradesh and started his schooling from one of the eminent schools in town, The Aditya Birla Public School.
After his schooling days, he carried on with his graduation in Commerce, and the same old traditional ways to build a fantastic career.
Guess What!! there's no sad story to tell. He transformed his passion into profession and ensures that he lives every moment to the fullest.
While other writers intend to change the world with their words, he finds content in changing world for one at a time (this includes him).
You might often hear him speak as his favourite song goes, "Words are all I have to take your heart away..."

About the story – This story is about Rajiv, who met with an accident on his first marriage anniversary and found himself in coma. During the time he spent in hospital, he felt his wife, Shreya, by his side every second. But the moment he got discharge from hospital, he got to know that his wife died the same day he met with an accident and the heart which is thumping in his body is his wife’s. But Rajiv denies everything and tells everyone that Shreya was with him. Eventually, he succeeds in finding Shreya by his side in the form of a spirit. Shreya’s mere presence in his life changes him completely. My verdict – This story shows that mere presence of your loved ones in your life is important. Whether the presence is physical or not does not matter. When you lose a person whom you love the most, not only that person dies but something inside you dies too and it become really hard to digest the fact that they are no more. This story shows the true meaning of love. When today, people run after physical things in love, this story shows how a spirit helps you be a better person. This story has made me cry and taught me the true meaning of love.
Mirage is a diluted psychological romantic story revolves around the protagonist Rajeev & his wife Shreya .Plot is narrated in first form by Rajeev with a sparky initiation but with turning pages pace drops . Rajeev and Shreya were married from an year & on the day of anniversary both met an accident at different places in which Shreya lost the battle to live while Rajeev able to survive even after serious injuries . Name of the story is apt 'cause While in ICU Rajeev felt the presence of Shreya and so did after getting discharge .Its his love & close bonding with her that explains her mentality of having shreya beside her . Most interesting character in the story is Abhimaan , brother to Rajeev ,who sticks in every thick and thin of his friend giving reader a symbolism of true friendship & brotherhood . Racer comes the second fav character of which is a tortoise and brought into home by Shreya & Rajeev's oneside talk with him and his response of hiding in his shell patches a smile across my face . There also exist some Creepiest stances in the plot which seems to be forced into writing . Stance in which Hotel Manager calls in Rajeev for coffee and then shifts the guests from Rajeev's pet suit to another seems contradictory and there are some spelling mistakes too . So Mirage is a fun read taking you to journey on both negative and positive vibes .
Narrated in first person, Mirage is a story of Rajiv and his wife, Shreya. While the story started on a good note, it was difficult to go on, as the number of grammatical errors far exceeded the pleasure of reading.
The plot of the story was good, a fresh new concept, it could have a lot of potential, but due to poor editing, I just could not concentrate on the story.
The author did a good job describing the scenes where he showed the author’s dilemma when he is not able to convince his family that he is still able to connect to his wife.
The story is mainly about a couple, Rajeev & Shreya. They crazily love each other & even after a year after their marriage their emotions for each other haven’t changed a bit. On their 1st marriage anniversary fate takes a cruel turn, both of them suffered accidents as they were on their way to meet each other & celebrate their special day. Shreya couldn’t make it while Rajeev fell into coma. After he came out of the coma this info was shared gradually & his world crumbled down. He claimed to feel the presence of Shreya even when he was being operated & also afterwards too. After he recovers from the injuries he tries to remind himself the moments he spent with his wife & hence visits places where they’ve been so that he would feel her presence again. But his family wants him to move on with his life. Will Rajeev ever move on? Will he be able to see through the mirage? Read the book to know..
So that's Mirage the second novel of the author Mayank Sharma. Rather should say it was a saga to his first novel The Cocktail of Love. In the latter, the story revolved around a guy meets girl love story followed by break up, betrayal, tornado of emotions, hatred, alcohol, etc. But in Mirage, it's all about the tough situations Rajeev faces when his better half leaves him in the midway leaving behind a frustrated Rajeev. They say when you don't have the love beside you, life seems to be meaningless. Here the author conveys his message in a very simple manner in terms of the events Rajeev goes through. The feeling of emptiness and fighting against it and winning over makes you think about life in a very different way.
