After having just survived near annihilation, eighteen-year-old Julia and her vampire friends have reveled in the afterglow, and are now bored. Thankful their enemy is sleeping off the defeat quietly in Julia’s vaults for all eternity, they need a new challenge.
When a letter from the supposed Noir begs for their help with a riddle, it becomes their first case. Not taking the threat seriously, the night loving crew turns the quest into a challenge: First person to solve the mystery, gets to be their new Justice League’s leader. They soon learn it’s not a joke, and once they head to New Orleans, they find others who’d love nothing more than to stand in their way. The threat is real, and unless they figure out what offering the riddle is referring to, all hell will be let loose, literally, rendering them powerless.
Will Julia be able to give up what’s required: a true sacrifice?
Let the hunt begin.
Supernatural Chronicles: New Orleans Ten original novellas released once a week starting 10/26/2015, following each supernatural race as they fight an elusive enemy, are written by New Adult authors Lila Felix, Kristie Cook, Brenda Pandos, Delphina Henley, Julia Crane, Jamie Magee, Morgan Wylie, Kallie Ross, S.T. Bende, and Rebecca Ethington.
Come join us for the hunt and discover hidden treasures inside.
Brenda Pandos lives in California with her husband and two boys. She attempts to balance her busy life filled with writing, being a mother and wife, and spending time with friends and family.
I didn't care for this installment at all. Like the others, it exists in a separate series of it's own. However, it seemed like way too much had happened in previous books, and the recap and background info given doesn't make any sense. I didn't like the heroine and the characters on a whole acted way too juvenile for my taste.
Book 3 in the supernatural chronicals falls into Brenda Pandos' Talisman series about Vampires. Not having read the series, it was a little hard to follow some of the comments and it would have helped for better understanding some of the characters' interactions, but the story was high energy, with quite a few twists, and a contagious intensity from the protagonist. A good addition to this fun, supernatural treasure hunt! Be sure to read all the books!
This was a short book and I got it because I enjoy reading Brenda Pandos' books. It is difficult to develop much of a plot in a book this short, but Brenda did a good job of it. She manages to develop the characters well for such a short book. But I have gotten used to her longer books and was expecting more of the same.
One thing I love most about Brenda Pandos is the fact that her writing is well edited and have a very minimum, if any, grammatical errors. This book was no disappointment.
This is book 3 of a series of books about various members of the supernatural community, written by different authors. Of course it was good, it was Brenda Pandos!
*I was given an Arc for an Honest Review. * Once again I am blown away by the talent of Brenda Pandos.
It was a blast to have another adventure with Parker & Nicholas. For those who don’t know the back story of those two, Brenda Pandos did a nice quick recap to fill in anything one might of missed. It’s been AWHILE since I have read anything with these two, and I fell right back into the grove of them. Which made me a happy little reader. This is the Perfect length to go with a cup of coffee, or a nice bubble bath. SO if you Looking for a quick action pack read, I highly suggest grabbing a copy of Supernatural Chronicles: The Vampires. If I could give this book a higher rating, then 5 stars I would in a heartbeat!
This is the third book in the Dynamis Series. So far, I am loving the way this series is coming together. The Vampires took me a little bit longer to get into than the first two books in the series. There is a bit more background to Julia that comes out in bits in pieces. If I could change one thing about this book, it would be that the background of the vampires be in a prologue because it seemed like some things were still kind of vague. I loved Julia's stubborn streak to be the Queen of the Vampires and protect her friends, the love she has for Nicholas and her friends. The Noir is guarding the Veil between the living and the dead and Julia must figure out what she needs to do to stop the Veil from being torn. Which, of course, is not what she thought and her sacrifice is much bigger.
Julia and her three friends have just recovered from a harrowing journey. They have become remade vampires and are denying the blood lust. Julia receives a note that enrages her lust and sets her to be the vampire to solve their riddle in the immortal quest to save mankind and all immortals. Julia must decide if the sacrifice asked of her is worth the world.
Another wonderful read in this Supernatural Chronicles. A quick read, like the others in this series that leaves you wanting to know more about Julia and her friends.
The third novella in the multi-author collaboration, "Supernatural Chronicles," is a fast paced, exciting story involving characters encountered in her other books. Even if you haven't read "The Talisman Series," she gives a nice recap at the beginning that brings you up to speed. It is an excellent story that makes you want to run out and buy that series just so you can get more of these characters and their world.

I'm a total vamp fan so book 3 in the Supernatural Chronicles was a real treat for me! Phil & Sam are wickedly funny snarky N cute.. Supernatural Chronicles: The Vampires, a short story from the incredible Brenda Pandos. For those who have read her books, you know exactly what I mean. Fast paced, twisted and turning plot, and a storyline that keeps the reader turning pages. Don't miss this and all the other Supernatural Chronicle books.
Highly recommend, fantastic stories! I was a little hesitant to read this series because I had only read Jaime Magee (The Witches) and im not a fan of short stories. Fast paced adventures & a fun ride! I'm impressed by how this series turned out & and am looking forward to its continuation. I am also going to scope out the authors other works :-)
I was given a ARC for honest review. In the third instalment of the Supernatural Chronicles you meet Julia and her friends. Julia has her own mission along with sacrifice. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded. I also really enjoyed the authors writing and can't wait to read more of her work.
Like all the previous stories in this series, this one was excellent. Fast paced and leaves the reader wondering what will happen next. Love, friendship, giggles, and suspense all combine to make this a story worth reading. A great addition to this great series.
The series continues in this exciting addition. I really enjoyed this one. It was unexpected and intriguing. The characters were fun to read and I enjoyed the dangerous and suspenseful journey.
The third book in the Supernatural Chronicals. Julia is the Vampire Queen. Her piece to the puzzle comes from overcoming her evil. I liked this one. It wasn't a favorite. I like the authors writing but it didn't pull me in like the others. But overall I liked the story.
Perhaps my low rating is based partly on my never reading the other books featuring this crew. I was flat out confused through half the story. But other then the confusion . . . Julia seemed whiny. Was she like this in the Blood Wars? I hate whiny.
In just a few chapters we see characters grow and develop from selfish, to leader. I love the building to a final end and this piece if the puzzle doesn't let you down! This can be read as a stand alone but why would you? ~Dowie
Having not read the initial series it was hard to follow the internal story at times. However it still made this series fun and interested. Bring on the dragons
