I enjoyed Friends are Foes. It s a story of four females who we are introduced to as friends but later on we see how quickly things can change.
Andrea is a young mother who begins a relationship with an older man in hopes of him providing for her and her children. Her younger half-sister Sasha, is unsure what exactly she wants to do with her life but she feels with a seasonal part-time job and 3 years in at a 2 year community college, that she is doing better than most woman her age. Sasha's friend Tika went from cleaning people's house to moving to another city and scamming her way into a better life. Tika grew up with Dawn who is "like a sister" to her or so she thought. Dawn doesn't appear to have her priorities together as she rather have her mother raise her children and see them once in a while.
All of the drama each character goes through makes this an entertaining read. Friends are Foes encompasses several topics: expendable friendships, infidelity, domestic violence, and drug abuse. All of this combined with the good editing and excellent detail consistency makes this a five read. The ending made me say "DAMN" out loud as I swiped left to the last page on my device.
