Annabel Hastings never paid any attention to the topic of mates. So imagine her surprise when the cruel Alpha of the Dark Moons pack, Alpha Thaddeus, turns out to be her other half. The problem? He doesn't want a mate.
It was a good book, the plot was plotting but this is the type of book you read more for the comments, especially since the trope becomes annoying rather quickly! But nonetheless it was still a good read, can’t wait to start the sequel!
I really enjoyed the book. It has an amazing storyline and was very delightful and enjoyable. This was a good story of rejection and forgiveness. Phoenix knew the moment he stepped into the bar and smelled Ashley that she was his fated mate. But she was young and he wanted to live his life as a nomad. Phoenix was gone for 5 years but decides to go back to the pack. Will Ashley forgive him and if so will he take off for the open road again? Enjoyable story.
I received a free copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The theme of unwanted mates is a guilty pleasure of mine. This one was pretty good for an unpublished author. Am on the look out for more like Unwanted Mate though, which although unfinished, is my fave!
I couldn't fall in love with the hero, Thaddeus. He was gone all the time. I don't think this was really a romance novel. Mason had more protagonism than Thaddeus, and Mason was he heroine's best friend! It was just plain cruel. And the way in which Ariel proposed to thaddeus to mate with her... I don't have words, it was just anti-romantic, awful and it came out of nowhere.
I was interested to know a little more about Thaddeus's family curse, but the author didn't explain it. A shame honestly, it was the only interesting and non-cliched thing in this story. Well, it is a wattpad novel after all, I didn't expect much.
